CROSE FAMILY MEMORIES Related to the Miller Family Submitted by Don Crose January 2007 I am the son of Ralph and Evelyn Walker Crose and my sister is Louise Crose Kinsella. Our Dad's uncle Elijah (Lige) Crose lived on Main St. in Towanda. Uncle Lige had a daughter, Dolly Robinson. Dolly's daughter Alta married Percy Miller, so we are related to the Miller's. Imo Miller was uncle Lige's granddaughter. Louise was (of course) a great-niece. Uncle Lige told Louise to call him Grandpa too! Imo did not like that; although they were close friends! When Lige died our dad had checked in on him as he often did. Lige said he hadn't felt so good in a long time. Dad went home and about an hour later someone told him to go see his uncle as he was dying. Alta had a brother that had a barber shop on West Washington St. in Bloomington, Illinois. He never came out to Towanda much to my knowledge. Dolly lived across the street from the Merritts. Caroline Miller found Dolly dead in her rocking chair. Louise and Imo used to eat apple heated on Lige's old stove. A nice memory for Louise!
