Designed by Chicago architectural firm Skidmore, Owings and Merrill, the Skokie Public Library building won awards from the Chicago Municipal Art League, the American Institute of Architects, and the American Library Association. The building was dedicated in 1960. This photograph is part of the collection of the Skokie Historical Society.
