Three layers of cardboard. The top layer has a chromolithograph of FDR glued on it, printed ad at the top right, and a slot for the thermometer. The second layer, larger than the top, is covered with gold colored paper, with a printed border, and a slot for the thermometer. It also has a space open at the bottom center for the calendar. The calendar slides down from behind the top layer, pulled by a yellow ribbon attached at the bottom. The back layer of cardboard holds the thermometer.
