Largest Class To Receive Caps In Rites Today: Canton, March 5.—The largest class of nurses to enter the Graham Hospital Training School in its history will be capped at appropriate ceremonies to be held in the YWCA at 7 p. m. Tuesday. The speaker of the evening will be the Rev. James Clancy, chaplain of the Macomb St. Francis hospital. The program will be as follows: Invocation—The Rev. Willis A. Reed – Vocal solo—“The Lord’s Prayer.” Miss Marilyn Williams, junior student nurse – Charge to Class of ’53—Miss Marian Nugent, director of nurses—Capping by Miss Nugent and Mrs. Betty Stockov, nursing arts instructor—Nightingale Pledge, class – Acceptance Into School, Lorrain Bennett, president of Student Council – Address, the Rev. Clancy—Benediction, the Rev. George A. Schramm. Following the program refreshments will be served in the YW dining room by the Training School committee of which Mrs. Wright Mosher is president. Tuesday morning Mrs. Signa C. Thomas, general superintendent of the hospital, is to serve breakfast to the students of the class; Miss Nugent, Mrs. Stockov and Mrs. Esther Carver, instructress. Those to be capped are Constance Arnet, Easton; Jenise Bennett, Lewistown; Lucille Coleman, Canton; Beverly Fearey, Pekin; Hazel Fulscher, Kilbourne; Gertrude Geier, Glasford; Katherine Grzanich, Dunfermline; Barbara Harland, Betty Kirkpatrick, Mary Lindzey, Elsie Mundinger, all of Canton; Shirley Strode, Dallas City; Marilyn Taylor, Canton; Frances Tomlianovich, St. David; Opal Walker, Wanda Waughtel, Carol Wellbaum, Canton; Barbara Wolfe, Pekin and Ellen Yarnell, Farmington.
