Provide Tools for Teachers
With this resource trunk produced
by the Department of Natural
Resources, you and your students can
learn why invasive species are detrimen-tal,
how they arrived in Illinois and what
actions can be taken to control them.
Field guides, books, lessons, DVDs,
specimens, replicas and other items are
included. Targeted grades: 7-12. All
lessons are correlated to the Illinois
Learning Standards. Lending locations
are found statewide. These trunks were
developed by the DNR Education Sec-tion
in cooperation with the DNR Office
of Resource Conservation and educators
at the Illinois-Indiana Sea Grant program
at the University of Illinois.
