The Board of Higher Education approved 211 applications for new programs in FY2006 — 40 associate’s de-grees
at community colleges, 17 new degree programs at public universities, and 116 new certificate and degree
programs at independent colleges and universities, as well as 7 new authorizations for operating authority.
