In November the Library
Commissioners, Mrs. Har-ry
Pote, Mrs. Stanley lor-enzano
and Mrs. Edward Za-rnecki,
put out a call for help
in forming a Friends of the
Library organization. The
purpose of this group would
be to create public interest
and support for the develop-ment
of the public library
within Chicago Ridge^ V mee-ting
held in Henry Ford Sch-ool
was attended by Mon-signor
Roche, Mayor Coo-per
and fourteen other int-erested
citizens. From this
first meeting public interest
has been snowballing and in
successive monthly mee-tings
they have elected a
slate of officers and ob-tained
a State Charter wi-th
100 members.
A public meeting to est-ablish
the bylaws of the or-ganization
and recruit more
members will be held at
Henry Ford School March
18. Everyone in the village
is invited, the library needs
your help to be successful.
