| Description | FitzJerrell recounts growing up on a farm in the late 1800's, her family life and background, Civil War experiences of her father, marriage to a doctor and life as a doctor's wife, her husband's medical practice and psychiatry work, raising her children, family vacations, and a lengthy illness she endured in the 1920's. She discusses some of the problems associated with her advancing age and living in a nursing home. A reference is made to FitzJerrell's father hearing Abraham Lincoln speak. |
