MaJ. Gen. Rush B. Lincoln, commanding general of the island, congratulates Technical Sergeant Floyd D. Cunningham, 1509 South 9th avenue, Maywood, after presenting him with the Legion of Merit at a ceremony at a South Pacific Base. The award was made for meritorious conduct on Guadalcanal from August 23 to October 14, 1942. A former merchandise adjuster with a city firm, Cunningham is the son of Mr. and Mrs. F. D. Cunningham, Sr,, of Maywood.
