INVENTOR—From a small hobby shop tucked away in a corner of the basement and a constant desire to design and experiment, the inventive genius of Frank A. Stuhlman of 7414 Warren avenue, Forest Park, has grown and made itself felt in innumerable industries. As a design engineer for Borg-Warner corporation he has participated in the design of the production equipment for vast quantities of war material, including cartridge cases, various kinds of truck wheels for army and civilian transportation vehicles, and plow, harrow and coulter discs for farmers all over the allied world. Several war time inventions have been granted to Mr. Stuhlman, the compliacy of which preclude explanation. His pre-war activity consisted mainly of designing Koolshade weaving machines which, in his own words, are "The most complicated mess of doodads and thing-a-jigs you ever saw." Koolshade is a miniature Venetian blind in the form of screen wire for windows. Mr. Stuhlman is pictured above at the drawing table where he does most of his work in his shop at 411 Desplaines avenue. Forest Park.
