TEEN AGE DANCES under auspices of the Maywood Playground and Recreation Board were resumed in the Emerson school gym, 4th avenue and Washington boulevard, on Saturday night. Shown as they make plans for the forthcoming weekly dances are Bette Matte and Don Mueller who serve on the membership committee. Membership cards for the dances will be issued to all Proviso students on October 6 and October 13 at the time of entering the gym. Music is furnished for the hops by a juke box, with a band playing on special occasions. The dance's opening marked the fourth year the Maywood Recreation board has provided additional activity for local teen-agers. Profit from the dances is set aside in a special fund to be used for future teen-age activity. "Cokes" and candy bars are sold at the coke bar which Is managed by members of the student committee. Attendance is limited to students of Proviso high, Maywood residents attending other high schools, and boys and girls who have not reached their 18th birthday and have left high school for employment. Service men and others are invited to attend as guests of those holding membership cards.   Admission is 25  cents.
