WINTRY SCENE—The historic Desplaines river, enhanced by a recent snowfall, lends beauty to the villages as it wends its way through, stopped only by icy formations. The overhanging trees, dressed in the latest winter garb, seem at ease with the world as they maintain a year-round stretch. For a moment all is serene as the mirrored surface reflects picturesquely the attractiveness of the wooded area.
