Supermaricet Moves To New Location ^<-^

The Huntley Supermarket will open in its new location next Tuesday, March Srd.
The old store will close at 6pm on Monday, March 2nd. They will begin switching over all their computers and moving things that evening according to store owner Al Allen.
"It will be a lighter and brighter store," comments Allen. He says extra features in the new store will include
a deli, bakery and floral shop plus more of a full line of products available. In addition, the new store will open one hour earlier. It will be open 7am to 9pm seven days a week.
Allen says Huntley residents can expect a Grand Opening in a few weeks, mid to late March, once they get "all the bugs worked out" of the moving process.
Huntley Police Hold Open House For Renovated Offices

Last Saturday, February 22, the Huntley Police Department held an open house in its newly renovated offices in Huntley's Village Hall for local officials to tour.
John Spradlin won the bid for the $25,000 project. Construction started last September and is now fully complete.

Local Groups Host Community Appreciation Breakfast

The Community Appreciation Breakfast, hosted by Huntley's local service organization and clubs, was a grand success. Two hundred forty people attended, donating $164 and 300 to 400 pounds of food for the Grafton Township Food Pantry. The planning committee would like to thank everyone who participated. Special thanks to Dean Foods for the milk and orange juice and the American Legion for use of the

A new public entrance was constructed on the east side of the building that is marked with a large black and white sign for better visibility. A records processing ofHce was built for OfHcer Mike Hewitt and employee Cindy Endyke to
operate the department's computer system. An interviewing room was added to contain Breathalyzer and finger printing equipment and to create a private atmosphere for talking with victims. In addition, a new garage door weis installed.
Several Village Board members were attendance as well as States Attorney Tom Baker.
