Bradley has awarded Greve a full ride volleyball scholarship which includes tuition, room, board and books. Greve will begin studies at Bradley in Fall 1991. Bradley is a Division I School. Zemon Wins Huntley Spelling Bee Tanya Zemon, 1990-91 Spelling Bee Winner and Runner-up Tiffany Brettman beam with pleasure shortly after their success in the recent spelling bee held at Huntley Grade School. Huntley Village Board Meets On Feb. 14, 1991 the regular meeting of the Village Board of Trustees was held in the Board Room of the Village Hall and called to order by the President at 8:05 pm. Roll noted the following present: President Dhamer, Trustees Gow, Becker, Borowicz and Russ with Trustee Wicke and Hoeft absent. Also present were Village Attorney Kukla, Police Chief Rossi, Public Works Director Nimbar and Village Collector Susanke. The first order of business was the presentation of the Jan. 10, 1991 regular meeting minutes. Trustee Gow made a motion to approve of these minutes as presented, seconded by Trustee Russ and upon roll call, all trustees voted aye and the motion carried. The revised bill list was then reviewed. After examination of same, a'motion was made by Trustee Russ to approve payment of all bills listed with the exception of a Baxter it Woodman invoice in the amount of $4,181.10 (found unacceptable by President Dhamer), seconded by Trustee Becker and upon roll call all trustees voted aye, motion carried and a listing of same is attached hereto. Treasurer McMahon's report was presented to the Board. After examination, a motion was made by Trustee Russ, seconded by Trustee Borowicz, to accept as submitted & upon roll call, all trustees voted aye and the motion carried. President Dhamer in the next order of business advised he had had a communication from the Village President of Hampshire regarding boundaries between Huntley and Hampshire. It was determined, afer discussion, that the Village Administrator, President and a trustee from the board, namely Trustee Russ, and Attorney Kukla meet with the Hampshire people to discuss these boundary lines. Village Administrator Krauss reported on the following: 1) Baxter it Woodman letter re Century Title. He explained the letter and I'le findings which additional engineering costs amounted to $10,864.76 beyond completion date. Discussion followed, after which Trustee G ow made d ' ' ' ', motion to authorize President Dhamer to execute the Baxter and Woodman letter of Feb. 8, 1991 advising Century Title of this additional engineering service, seconded by Trustee Borowicz, and upon roll call all trustees voted aye and motion carried-. 2) Bid openings on Feb. 14, 1991 were as follows: A) Bonnie Brae Street Water Main Loop: Lenny Hoffman Excavating, $15,472.53; Earth Ind. $16,498.57; Hayes Plumbing, Inc. $23,783.00; E. Kattner it Son Co. $12,795.00; Gluth Brothers Construction $15,116.00; American Cutting Systems $19,554.00; Tim's Excavating $15,430.00. B) Sanitary Sewer System Improvements Fourth Street Union Special Plaza Sanitary Sewer Replacement: R.L. Smith Construction $159,030.00; Earth Ind. $82,392.00; Gluth Brothers Construction $74,666.00; Lenny Hoffman Excavating $73,647.25; American Cutting Systems $98,438.00; Tim's Excavating $113,132.50. He advised Baxter it Woodman iwiU review numbers and should have a recommendation by the 28th of Feb. Committee of the Whole meeting and ready to award on March 14, 1991. 3) Home State Bank Loan Prepayment. Discussion was had regarding the prepayment of $400,000.00. It was noted that the Treasurer nor Village Auditor had been contacted for their input on this expenditure. Thereafter, it was determined that this should be further discussed at the Committee of the Whole Feb. 28 meeting with Mr. Ketchmark and Ms. McMahon present. Attorney Kukla discussed the following: - The Hinz property on North Church Street - Re - matter of the driveway. Attorney Kukla was informed that they will have installed prior to June 1, 1991. - The filing has been done for demolishing the Church Street house fourteen days from Feb. 15, 1991; village can obtain order to have the house demolished. Court will enter an order that village has authority to demolish. The Village Administrator can then request bids for said demolition and all costs will be incorporated in a lien against property; village can foreclose its lien and collect its costs. There being no Public Comments, President Dhamer proceeded with the meeting. Next, an Ordinance Providing for the Regulation of Parking on Woodstock Street in the Village of Huntley, McHenry County, Illinois was brought to the table. Discussion pursued and found to lack a timetable. Thereafter, a motion was made by Trustee Becker, seconded by Trustee Russ, to adopt the Ordinance as written but amended in Section I as "8:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M. Monday through Friday and 8:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M. Saturday," and upon roll call, all trustees voted aye, motion carried and the Ordinance will take effect ten days from publication.
