Huntley boys complete basketball camps
June 16th marked the completion of two weeks ofHuntiey boys basketball camp. Boys from grades 4-8 participated from 9:00a.m. to 11:45a.m. while high-school-aged boys participated froml2:15p.m. to 3:30p.m. A total of 53 campers received instruction from the high school coaches and participated in team and individual contests.
Adam Holtz, Chad Kafka, Scott Dvorak, Kevin Lessner and Rob Williams served as camp counselors for grades 4-8 campers. During the last day of camp, a variety of awards were presented to deserving individuals for outstanding efforts throughout the two weeks of camp.

competition was won by the team consisting of Juri Gamble, Brett Borchart and Jason Kalsow; the Free Throw Champion for the 4th and 5th grade was Jason Bohme, while the champion for grades 6-8 was Daryn Crabill; the Hot Shot awardforgrades 4-5 was won by Matt Joslyn while Jason Kalsow won this award for grades 6-8 with an outstanding score of41. For the entire 4-8 grade camp, the Most Improved Player award was presented to Josh Homuth, while the Mr. Hustle award was presented to Nick DeBartolo. Huntley American Legion holds flag buming

worn-out flags.
Grafton Board presents meeting minutes
A road sign agreement with Algonquin Township, a donation to Communities Against Gangs, and the wages of Public Worlcs employees were some ofthe issues discussed at the Grafton Township Board meeting on June 8.
1"he regular monthly meeting ofthe afton Township Board of Trustees was held June 8,1995 at the Grafton Township Building at 7:30pm.
The following officers were present: Ruth, Kobza, Hight, Ottiey, Ziller, Zirk and Hansen.
The minutes ofthe May 11, 1995 regularmeetingwerepresented. After review a motion was made by Ziller and seconded by Hansen to approve the minutes as presented. Voicevote: all aye, motion carried.
The treasurer's report was presented. After review and revision a motion was made by Ziller and
seconded by Kobza to approve the report as revised. Voice vote: all aye, motion carried. The attached listing of bills was presented for approval. After discussion and revision, a motion was made by Zirk and seconded by Hansen to approve all bills presented. Voice vote: all aye, motion carried.
Assessor reported that they have measured and reviewed all properties occupied through June 1, 1995. Assessor discussed acquiring the Assessor version of Apex software to reduce labor costs in developing drawings of properties. A motion was made by Ziller and seconded by Hansen to approve the purchase of the aforementioned software. Voice vote: all aye, motion carried.
Road Commissioner reported that we had 5 inches of rainfall in May. Performed regular Monday morning roadpatrolspicking up garbage. Also
graded shoulders and spread gravel and graded gravel roads, and swept streets. Completed one round of tree and brush trimming and mowing right-of-ways. Other activities included vehicle painting and servicing.
Road Commissioner reported that we entered into an Inter- Governmental agreement with Algonquin Township for joint purchase of road signs and material for sign update. It is expected that this arrangement will save about $8 on stop signs and $5 on wood posts.
Road Commissioner requested $7,000.00 be moved from the road and bridge savings account to the road and bridge checking account. A motion was made by Zirk and seconded by Kobza to move $7,000.00 from road and bridge savings to road and bridge checking. Voice vote: all aye, motion carried.
Supervisor Ruth af^roached the board regarding a donation from the Community Service budget to promote the Huntley Community Against Gangs organization. Trustee Ziller has been attending the meetings. After discussion, amotion was made by Kobza and seconded by Zirk to donate $250 to the aforementioned organization. Voice vote: all aye, motion carried. Supervisor Ruth advised that there is pending legislation requiring a fifty to seventy-five percent majority vote of all townships in the county to

Walter Valentine, president of Township Official of Illinois, McHeniy County, is soliciting help at the McHeniy County Fair booth to continue educating the public on the benefits of township government. Board members Ziller, Zirk, Ruth and Hight volunteered to assist.
McHenry County Township Olficials of Illinois dues remain the same as the previous year. However
