PENGUIN SNOWMOBILE PICNIC
Last Sunday, August 2, the 8 & 40 McHenty County Salon held their Installation Dinner at the Huntley American Legion. A delicious stuffed Pork Chop dinner was served by members of the Auxiliary and Dick Enstrom. Mrs. Mabel Schultz presented Mrs. Florence Kennedy with a surprise birthday cake.
Fcrflowing the dinner, installing officers were introduced by Agnes Wabbler, Le Petit Chapeau Passe. They were: Installing Officer - Mrs. Elain Murphy Installing Sgt. at arms - Mrs. Eileen Johnson Installing Musician - Mrs. Becky Gabel Installing Chaplain - Mrs. Helen Lang The new officers for the year were introduced and their duties were read by Mrs. Murphy. Installed were:

TRIP FOR TWO
This year participating merchants are giving away a Mini Weekend for Two at Indian Lake Resort off Route 20. The 260 acre resort has a health Club, Indoor swimming pool. Outdoor Swimming pool, six outdoor Tennis courts, two 18 hole golf courses. There are several restaurants. The Tomarack Restaurant and Lounge is on a lake. The lobby and some retaurants are done in a tropical paradise with skylights and waterfalls.
Also to be given away will be tickets to Santa's Village. Great America and Circus World.
A Rib Dinner for Two at the L-Station in Gilberts will also be given away.
Residents will be able to sign up this weekend at any of the following merchants:

JACK BRUNSCHON HONORED
Vemon "Jack" Brunschon of Huntley was honored guest at an appreciation dinner of the McHenry County Road Commissioners Association on Saturday night held at Crandalls at Hebron. Jack was commended for his 24 yean of leadership in Township govemment in the Stote of Illinois, McHenry County and his outstanding service as Rood Conunissioner of Crafton Township.
