Saturday, April 1, at 7:30f p.m. at the Huntley Grade School Auditorium. It promises to be an evening of fun and entertainment as the C.A.C. presents their "Fool's Follies" show featuring the theme, "Close Encounters of The Worst Kind Visit The Village of Country Korn." Perhaps one of your neighbors, or a friend you've always imagined to be "prim and proper", will be found in our cast of corney characters. Do you know where your grandparents will be on April 1? Ifyou don't find them at home, look for them at the show. They'll probably be playing C.A.C. MEEHNQ On Tuesday, March 28, members ofthe Citizens Advisory Council met in the High School Library at 7:30 p.m. Minutes from the last meeting were read by Fran Sheets. It was reported that 14,000 Campbells soup labels had been tumed in. A hearty thank you to the community effort for a job well done. A tape recorder and record player have been earned through these efforts and will soon be received by the school. The next C.A.C. Dialog Newsletter is reportedly due in or about the month of May. A decision was made to push the news deadline back due to the illness and hospitalization of June Pupich. News media present from both the Farmside and Marengo papers suggested that if news pertaining to the children and their activities was included in upcoming issues, the Dialog would present a better impact on the community The Volunteer Committee stated that they had met with teachers in the K-8 classes regarding the newly formed resource files. They will meet next week with High School teachers to inform them as well what programs are available to their students. The resource their makeshift instruments in Louise Kreutzers Kitchen Kon¬ cert Band." If you read Sylvia Harmon's story titled, 'Miss Hacklund Grade 2', when it was published last year, come and see it's adaptation to stage among the acts to be given. Saturday, April 1, will be your neighbors chance to entertain you, whatever his claim to fame might be, so plan to drop over and join us. It promises to be an evening of Kountry Kom, so if you are in bare feet and overhalls, it doesn't matter. Don't dress up neighbor. Come in your "milkin attire" and join in the fun. Program Chairperson for the event if Mrs. Evelyn Grechis. Tickets are available at the door or from any committee member. fdes will thereafter be kept in the Grade School for community and school use. Several committee members traveled to Woodstock to view resource files there. Each felt Huntley has more updated volunteer services available at this time. A suggestion was made to consider an exchange affiliation at a cost of $15 per year. This will be discussed at length at a future meeting as information pertaining to it becomes available. It was also suggested that a volunteer form be kept up by each teacher, listing pertinant information regarding volunteer performance, grade level best suited to the individuals pro¬ gram, and any other additional information deemed necessary. In this manner it was felt each teacher could better determine how well the volunteer would fit into his particular program. The curriculum committee reported that a letter had been received from the school board statmg that enough time has not as yet been able to be devoted to the study requested, and the subject will be discussed at greater length at a later date. Gates to the park will be closed untU Egg Hunt U over at the VUlage Square. Al 1st graders thru Sth graders meet a the basebaU diamond on the south end untU it is time fbr the hunt at Deicke Park. Decorated Egg Contest wUI be for all ages thru 6lth gnde. Get your ideas working and win a prize for your egg or menagerie. Prizes are based on each age group so you aU have a chance.
