Hnntley Fire Station #2 Completed
The trustees and firemen of the Huntley Fire Protection District are proud to announce that Huntley Fire Station #2 is completed and in operation. With the addition of Station #2, the fire district will be able to provide the residents of the district on both sides of the Chicago-Northwestern Railroad tracks with immediate fire and ambulance service.
In any call, fire or rescue, time is the important factor and even though the trains are going thra Huntiey at a faster speed than before, a delay of three to four minutes could mean the difference in saving a life or keeping a fire under control.
At present, in Station #2, there is a paramedic unit ambulance, an engine and the 85 foot snorkel. Tbere are sufficient firemen, EMT's and paramedics on both sides of the tracks to man either station when a caU is dispatched. An open house wiU be held in the near future for the public to visit the new station located at the comet of Dean St. and Rt. 47.
Sincerely,
The Huntley Fire Protection District
