Grand Opening 1^ At McHenry Savings Bank
Come meet the new 24-hour teller at the Huntley Facility of McHenry Savings Bank. In conjuction with the Sidewalk Sale, Saturday, August 16, the McHenry Savings Bank will present demonstrations on the new 24-Hour teller, ATM. (Automatic Teller Machine) The ATM is trying to make new friends so — cash prizes will be given for ATM users on that day only, 9 a.m. to 1p.m. Free beverages and snacks are available for everyone who visits, with free balloons for the children. All are welcome.

According to Mayor Jim Dhamer the Village Square in Huntley is open to any residents who would Uke to set up a booth for the Sidewalk Sale Day oii Saturday, August 15.
A Blood Donor- Good For Life
The Blood Bank will be in Huntley on Tuesday, August 18, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Congregational Church Social Hall. Come in to donate!
What good is a blood donor? A blood donor is good for people who go through windshields and red lights. For somebody with leukemia. For people being operated on. For barefoot kids who aren't careful. For people into feudin' and fightin'. For hemophiliacs so they can be as normal as possible. For daredevils. For people undergoing dialysis while waiting for a kidney transplant. For people who fool around with guns. For little kids who manage to uncap a bottle of something poisonous. For people who are burned pretty bad. For new mothers needing a transfusion. Huntley Harvestor's Triumph at McHenry County Fair

The Huntley Harvestors triumphed at the McHenry~ County Fair held last week at the Fairgrounds in Woodstock.

The Huntley Lions held the annual Golf Outing last Wednesday, August 5.
Golfers played a round of 18 at the Pinecrest Golf & Country Club on Algonquin Road in Huntley. The day ended with a Steak Fry served at the American Legion and a gift give away.

Soccer Registration - Saturday at Dieke Park
Judge Nic Nelson, Henry, awarded the reserve champion bred-and-owned heifer banner to J D Black Regal 863 at the 1987 Northern Illinois Junior Angus Show held in Pecatonica. This heifer was shown by Jim Marsh, Huntley. There were 109 Angus cattle exhibited at the show.
