For the 1st time in three years of competition, the HUNTLEY SWING CHOIR received a DIVISION 1 rating. Dressing and dancing in the SO's era was hard work but very rewarding when we pulled a Division 1 rating. The following people worked extra hard not only to leam the songs but also the dance steps. Barb Reynolds and Chris Pupich, Peg Masters and Nick Susong, Kim Kearns and Brett Barrett, Lorrie Resh and Chad Reeves, Leslie Grau and Ron Strickland, Vicki Zirk and Rick Foerster.
Finally I would like to thank all the parents involved in letting their children practice night after night in preparation for this contest. I feel that the kids as well as I learned much more about each other and about music in the months of preparation. Also receiving these scores has made us realize we want to work even harder because in the end its worth all the work. Also a special thank you to the parents who came and supported us by just being there. It makes us feel that someone really does care enough about us and feel proud with us of the achievements we have made.
