Huntley Firemen will hoat Waterfights this Sunday. June 7th. at 1 p.m. at the VUlage Square with departments from around the County participa¬ ting. The Huntley team took 2nd Place in Union last week. The Public is invited to attend-
PARK DISTRICT MEETING
The regular meetmg of the Huntley Park District was called to order by President Borhart at 8 o'clock Wednesday. May 27, 1981. Present were Commis¬ sioners Borhart, Mercer, Tures and Jurs and Attomey Cowlin, Larry Kahl and Betsey Warring¬ ton. Commissioner Weltzine was absent.
The minutes of the April 22nd meetings were read. A motion to approve the minutes was made by Mr. Tures and seconded by Mr. Jurs. All Commissioners voted aye and the motion carried.
The Treasurer's report was given. Mr. Tures moved to accept the report, seconded by Mrs. Mercer. AU voted aye aad the motioa catried.
Hie bilis Car the moiitli were presented. Mrs. Mercer movM to pay all bills, seconded by Mr. Tures. All ayes and the motion carried.
Reservations fot the park facilities were presented. All reservations were approved with one exception from out of district.
Mr. Tures read the report firom Bazter & Woodman conceming the bids for the park entrance reconstruction and drainage improvements. Fout bids were received, including Continued on Page 2
HUNTLEY IN DISTRICTS
By a I J-10 vote, the McHenry County Board accepted alterna¬ tive Plan 1 for the re-districting ot McHenry County. Ihis will place Huntley in that section of Gratton lownship primarily out of the Crystal Lake School District in with District 3 which will include the Townships of Riley, Coral, Marengo, Seneca, Dorr, Dunham. Hartland, Greenwood. Chemung, Alden, Hebron, Richmond and Burton. District 1 will include Algonquin lownship, and the northeasteni section of Grafton Township, primarily in the Crystal Lake School District. District 2 will include McHenry Township and Nunda Township.
District 3 is by far the largest land area of the three districts extending from Huntley to the Boone County line from the southem portion starting at the Kane County line and extending to the Wisconsin border. The top counties in District 3 will extended from the Boone County line to the Lake County line. Towns included in District 3 besides Huntley are Union, Marengo, Woodstock, Harvard, Hartland, Alden, Hebron, Ring- wood, Wonder Lake, and Richmond. District 1 will include the towns of Cary, Fox Continued oa Page 13
MISS HUNTLEY CANDIDATES KATHY LEGGEE NAMED
TEACHER OF THE YEAR
Piaured aoove is Mrs. Kathy Leggee, 3ra Grade Teachers a{ Huntley Elementary School, with the cake the 3rd Crade class presented to her for being nominated Teacher of the Year saying "We Love You." Her name will be submitted to the Illinois State Board of Education shortly. Continued on Page 2
ATHLETIC BANQUET
Last Friday. May 29th. the Class of 81 held their Commencement Program at Delaney Gym. The band played an Instrumental Review preceeding the ceremony consisting of "Air for Band", "A Galop to End All Galops", "Short Prelude with Perspectives."
The graduates entered in their white and red cap and gowns while "Pomp and Circumstance" played. Father Leo Ambre gave the Invocation while Dr. Robert Bunt welcomed the graduates and their families.
I The Salutatory address was given by Tammy Hudren saying that it meant a lot to represent the class. She said that the graduates had earned this day.
Bob Schultz from the Huntley American Legion gave medals and citations to fbiir boys and girls for courage, honor, leadership, patrotism, scholarship and service. Receiving the awards were Sue Schaller. Jan Smith. Keith Dobrolinsky and Joe Gow. The Legion scholarship was awarded to Steve Drendel.
Dr. Bunt presented the scholarship winners. They were: Edwin Deicke Foundation Scholarship Dave Eeg Howard Ruth Scholarship

Last Tuesday. May 26(h. the iast Athletic Banquet of the year was held to award honors to Softball and Baseball players. Dr. Bunt welcomed the crowd. A meal of Hot Dogs. Bratwurst, salads, desserts were served.
Coach Cindi Sheppard gave out letters and certificates to the following softball team members.- Continued on Page 9
