LEGION INSTALLATION NITE

Saturday evening, July 15, 1978 became a memorable night for several Huntley American Legion members as outgoing officers were recognized and incoming officers were installed.
The impressive ceremony began with members of the Legion Auxiliary led by President Neva Robertshaw leading them in the solemn task of draping the Legion Aux. charter in respect of departed member, Mrs. Ruth (Floyd) Schmuck.
At 8:15 p.m. outgoing Auxiliary President Mrs. Carroll (Neva) Robertshaw, was escorted to the podium by Sgt. of Arms, Miss Florence Kennedy from McHenry following the posting of colors in an impressive ceremony by several members of the Huntley High school Color Guard. Continued on Inside Page
FEDERAL FUNDS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR FLOOD VICTIMS
A SBA office opened in Woodstock July 19th and will remain open till July 29th for anyone who wishes to file a claim. The hours are 8:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. weekdays, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday and closed Sundays. The office is in the McHenry County Agricult¬ ure, Stabilization and Conser¬ vation Building, 1143 N. Semin¬ ary (Route 47), Woodstock. This building is located next to Beef Villa. As Kane County is adjacent to McHenry residents are eligible for flood funds.
A. Vemon Weaver. Adminis¬ trator of the Small Business Administration, today declared five Illinois counties a disaster area as the result of flooding June 26 through July 2.
He identified the counties as Grundy, LaSalle, Lee, McHenry and Winnebago.
Weaver's action, which also covers affected areas adjacent to the fiv« counties, enables home owners and tenants, business people and farmers, churches, private schools, and other non-profit organizations in the affected areas to qualify for low cost, long term SBA loans to restore or replace damaged, property not covered by insur¬ ance.
In connection with residential losses. Smith said, affected persons may qualify for loans of up to $50,000 for real property, of up to S10,000 for personal property and of up to $55,000 for a combination of real and personal property.
