Santa came at the invitation of the Huatiey Continued on Page 6 & 10 PARKOISTRIGT MISTING The regular meeting of the ,- Huntley fkfk Oktrlbt was called to order at 8 p.m. by Preaidem Borhart on Wednesday, Dec¬ ember 16, 1981. In attendance were Commissioner Borfaart. Mercer, Tures and Jurs, Attomey Cowlin, LeRoy Wir¬ sing and Larry Kahl. Commis¬ sioner Weltzien was absent. The minutes of the November meeting were read. Mr. Tures moved to approve the minutes, seconded by Mrs. Mercer. All Commissioners voted aye and the motion carried. The Treasurer's report was given. A motion to accept the report was made by Mrs. Mercer, second by Mr. Jurs. All ayes and the motion carried. Tbe bills fbr the month were presented. Mr. Tures moved to pay all bills, second by Mr. Jurs. All ayes and the motion carried. The maintenance report was given by Mr. Wirsing and Mr. Kahl. Discuasion included repairing tractors, anti-tips for the picnic tables and ice rink. Mr. Tures made a motion to have Mr. Wirsing work part time through tfae winter, seconded by Mr. Jurs. All ayes and the motion carried. Betsey Warrington entered the meeting and gave her report on recreatimi programa. Equipment waa discussed. The Secretary was instructed to publish a notice tfaat bids will be accepted for a 60" lawnroower front mounted, 3 wheel, rear steering, air cooled, TJD Wis. motor or equivalent. Sealed bids must be received by 8 p.m. January 27,1982. The Secretary was asked to send a thank you letter to Noel Hansmann and the Aid Assodatkm for Lutiierant of Trinity Lutheran Church for their donation to help beautify the park. Lutheran Church Rev. Charles Kittel, Pastor ChristnuisEve Christmas Program 7:30 pm Candelight Communion Service 11:30 pm Christmas Day Carol Service 10:00 am BLOOD BANK JAN. 2 at CONG. CHURCH The Aurora Area Blood Bank will hold a community blood draw from 9:00 A.M. to 1:00P.M. on Saturday, January 2. 1982. at Huntley Congrega¬ donal Church Social HaU. Many volunteer blood donors are needed as the holiday seaaon is a very critical time and the blood su|^ly is inadequate. Twenty-two hospitals are sup¬ plied blood by the Aurora Atm Blood Bank. People In good health, weighing at least UO pounds and 17 years of age or older are qualified to donate blood. The process takes less than an hour. No ^ipointment ia neceaaary.
