75 donors responded to the Blood Bank need on Tuesday, Apnl 20th, wjth 72 Units supplied to the Aurora Area Blood Bank with only 3 rejections.

Village President Donald Enstrom announced today that clean-u( days in Huntley have been set for Wednesday. May Sth thru Monday. May 10th. Two large trash bins will be placed in the HunUe> American Legion's parking lot for Ihe use of Huntley residences.

President Schaller reported that the Miss Huntley Pageant is to be held in May and that so far 3 candidates are registered. It is hoped that more wiU register before the April 30th deadline.

Olive Staadt, Carmel Com Chairman, reported that her coniniittee had contacted 51 Huntley businesses aad there have been 25 returns. Tbe school asked that more people be stationed tbere and that they are wiUing to hold the buses far a shMt time. Chairman GaU Wassertrass set the following rules. At least two people are to be at the Legion by 6 p.m. Either team captain and on eother or two team members. Each perscm is responsiblbe for replacing themselves on their team. Tbe committee is goiag to work oa new games.
The Sute Convention wiU be held May 14 to 16 at the O'Hare Ramada Inn. The board voted $35 to Project Care.
The club wiU start a program of hearing aid exhange or rediarge program fbr tiiose who need them.

CARMEL CORN DAY MAY Tth
Carmel Corn Day has been proclaimed for Friday. May 7, 1982 in the Village of Huntiey, Ulinois by Mr. Donald Enstrom, Mayor. Lioness Carmel Com Day is an effori by the Huntley Lioness Club to raise money to help the blind, visually handicapped, deaf and hearing impaired. The club is participating as part of a state wide effort by many Lioness Clubs through their charitable arm, the Lions oflllinois Foundation, 1515 N. Harlem Ave., Oak Park, U. The proclamation thanks the Lionesses for their communityh service and urges citizens to give generously when the Lioness give away carmel corn and accept donations.
Among members of the Lioness Club on hand for the signing were; Arlene Mattingly: Dorothy Schaller, President; Don Enstrom, Mayor; OUve Staadt, Chairwoman and Fran Borhart.
