MEMORIAL DAY CEREMONIES
Last Wednesday, May 23rd. was Glen Delaney Day at the Huntley Schools. Mr. Delaney was honored at an 11:00 am assembly by members of the student body, faculty and friends for his 25 years of outstanding service to the Huntley School. He was roasted by Principles Jim Skomer and Luke Glowiak, Superintendent Bunt, Bud Weber ( a former school board member and close friend of Glen), Pat Griffin, art teacher; Joe Manning, English Teacher and Miss Lid, high school teacher. Mrs. Sandy Basel presented a scrapbook of letters and wel) wishes encased in a wooden cover made by Mr. Wilson, shop teacher. Continued on Page 2

off of Route 47 on Howers Road. The pilot, Marilyn H. Powles, 51, of

SCHOOL BOARD MEETING CONCERNING REFERENDUM
Last Thursday, May 24, the School Boatd held their regular meeting . The Board was presented with 380 signatures from residents and 85 from high scho9l students by fifteen High School Students who were asking them to run another referendum. The fifteen students went door to door for four days. They are Chainnan Sharon Pupich, Jan Smith, Sue Schaller, Jim Kearns, Jim Williams, Robin Kunde, Brenda Tessmer, Chris Pupich, Connie Marsh, Donna Jones, Lonna Jones, Joe Gow, Chris Reid, David Reid and Sara Lindsey.
PARK DISTRICI MEETING
The regular meeting of the Huntley Park District was called to order at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. May 23, 1979. Present were Commissioners Ruth, Tures, Borhart, Weltzien and Mercer. Also present were Attorney Cowlin and Larrv Kahl.
the minutes of the April 25th meeting were read. Mr. Tures moved to approve the minutes, seconded by Mr. Borhart. All Commissioners voted aye and the motion carried.
