An Act In Relation To
Smoke Detectors
Be it enacted by the People
of the State of Illinois
represented in the General
Assembly:
Section 1. This Act-shall
be known and may be cited as
the Smoke Detector Act.
"Approved smoke detector"
or "detector" means a smoke
detector of the ionization or
photoelectric type, which
complied with all the
requirements of the Rules and
Regulatios of the IlUnois
State Fire Marshal.
"Dwelling unit" means a
room or suite of rooms used
for human habitation, and
includes a single family
residence and each living
unit in a mixed-use building.
