HOBOS Bring Halfield-McCoy Fued to Huntiey
On March 1st and 2nd the Chancel Choir of the First Congregational Church of Hunt¬ ley, 11628 Main Street, will present their 21st annual HOBO SHOW entitled "Raise A Ruckus". By popular demand there will again be three seatings, Friday, March 1st at 7:00 and Saturday, March 2nd at 5:30 «& 8:00.
After serving each guest a delicious beef stew dinner the HOBOS will sing "good ol' country songs" like: "Mountain Dew", "Hoe Down", Mama Don't 'Low" and more. There will be jokes and feudin between Larry Jo McCoy and Carl Bob Hatfield, and we musn't forget tihe darlings, Prudy Beth Hat- " td and Dale Bob McCoy-will
% find happiness amongst all the feudin? Iliis show promises to be the funnest ever!
Tickets are sold by advanced sales only and are available by calling "Granny" Mary Lou Hardy at 669-5522 after 5:00 pm. Ticket prices (includes dinner and show), are $6.00 for adults and $3.00 for children 12 and under.

The January 22nd regular meeting was called to order by President C. Dammyer, with 37 members and 3 guests present.
Tom Crane and May Chesak lead in singing "In The Good Ole Summertime" and "The Star Spangled Banner". Ed Meagher lead the group in the Pledge of Alle^ance. Del Borhart gave the invocation. After a delicious dinner served by the Legion Auxiliary, com¬ mittee reports were given by Elmer Britton and Darryl Gumett on the District 1-J Bowling Toumament.
Gorden Schultz reported the Steak Fry is set for March 2nd. All tickets to tie advanced sales only, available from any Lion member. There is to tie a drawing at the Steak Fry for a trip for two to the Indian Lakes
Resort.
Dan Ziller passed out work sheets for the grade school basketball toumament to tie held Feb. 2,3,4,6 & 7th.
Due to a prior commitment the Algonquin Lions will attend the Feb 26th meeting instead of the Feb 12th meeting.
The next scheduled meeting ofthe Huntley Lions will be Feb. 12th at 7:30 at the American Legion.
Jennifer Lynn Massett, 11909 Brier Hill Road, Huntley High School, has been nominated to attend one of the three military academies tieginning in July 1985. The three academies are West Point in New York; the Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland; and the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Jennifer is one of tiie 20 area high school seniors from the Mth District.
Congressman Grottierg stated "These nominations were made after careful consideration ofthe qualifications of the students involved. The Mth District has had a good batting average with the service academies as far as nominations accepted by them for enrollment." Grottierg continued, "While the acade¬ mies make the final decisions on the qualifications of students for actual appointment, our area has received more enroUees every year and we are hopeful that several in this excellent group will lie awarded an
opportunity to serve their country in this most prestigious and distinguished manner.
Grotberg concluded, "We will begin hearing from the academies very soon aliout the nominees we have sent to them and we wish all of them the best of luck in this important endeavor."
Miss Massett has been nominated for the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Dobrolinsliy President Of Fratemity For Second Term
Keith Dobrolinsky was re¬ cently voted into his 2nd term as President of the Delta Rho Chapter of Sigma Khi Fratemity of Bradley University.
Keith is a senior majoring in Geology. He is the son of Walter and Lorraine Dobrolinsky of 12403 Lakevlew Dr., Huntley, and is a 1981 graduate of Huntley High School.
Reservations Still Available For Trip To fireside
Senior Citizens;
There are still some reserva¬ tions available for the May 7th trip to the Fireside Theater to see "Oklahoma". Total cost of the trip is $23.00 per person and is payable at time of making reservations.
