UONS CLUB AWARDS
The regular meeting of the Huntley Lions Club was held Feb. 14. at the American Legion Hall, with President Charles Ruth presiding. The meeting opened by singing "God Bless America" led by Lion Elden Pfaff. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Lion Bud Weber. InvcKation by Lion Del Borhart. Roast turkey dinner was served by the Auxiliary. The Secretary, Lion Chuck Lamb, gave the minutes of the last meeting and financial report. Ten Year Old Monarch Awards were presented to Lions Norm Brettschneider. Phil Freund. Chas. Ehle. Dennis O'Brian. and Will Brill. Mr. Elmer DeFrates and Mr. Larry Basel were inducted into mem¬ bership by Lion Mel Ewert, Zone Chairman of Dist. IJ. Lion Gene Lindsey and Lion Glen Delaney gave reports on the 23rd Annual Grade School Toumey. sponsored by the Huntley I^ipns. Lion Edward Hayes gave aV|eport on the Vacation For Tw^^ Project getting underway;, X-i<in Dennis Rudsinski gave a report on the upcoming comed beef and cab¬ bage dinner dance set for March 18 at the American Legion Hall.
LITTLE LEAGUE NEEDS OFFICIALS
Manager and coaches needed for Huntley Little League. Man¬ ager duties include ordering equipment, scheduling and sign up.

Public invited. Lion Glen Delaney has set the date for April 11 for the Athletic Banquet at the grade school. The zone meeting >^l be Feb. 22 at the Branded Steak House. District IJ Convention will be April 7-9 at the Sheraton Oakbrook. Lion of the year banquet will be April 8 at 6:30 p.m. Reservations required.
A letter of response was read from the Huntley, Nebraska Lions Club, the secretary. Chuck Lamb, had written to earlier.

Special guests for the evening was Mr. Darwin Moerke, guest of Lion Joe Schaller.

CREDIT UNION MEETINQ FEB. 27tti
The Annual Meeting of the Huntley Community Credit Unin will be held at 8:00 o'clock on the 27th of February in the social hall of the Congregational Church. Those attending are asked to use the East door to enter the hall.
Last Sunday afternoon, Rep. Cal Skinner Jr. and his wife, Robin celebrated their 1st wedding anniversary with a fund raising lobster buffet at Port Edward Resturant. The MC for the celebration waa Mel BeUairs of WIVS. Many of the Skinner's Republican friends attended the party including Senator Jack Schaffer, Al Jourdan, Lou Anne Majewski, Judge Letmard Brody, Judge Conrad Floeter, Mrs. Doris McClory (representing her husband, Congressman Robert McClory) and Henry Cowlin.
Following the buiffet, a drawing was held for elafoots made by Mrs. Skinner. The socks used for these fleet were donated by Congressman McClory and Rep. Skinner.

THE SKINNERS CELEBRATE THEIR 1st ANNIVERSARY

The first week in March is fast approaching the deadline for making a deposit in the Robert Peterson Fund at the State Bank of Huntley.
When first the announcement was made of the formation of this account and the drive for funds connected with it, it was felt that this would be a good opportunity for us to put community fellow¬ ship to practice.
As evidenced by the successful 1st Annual Volleyball Tourna¬ ment held on Feb. 4th, Huntley showed that it was indeed a community with a heart.
In order to continue this quality of good will and make the whole effort ofthe "Back Bob's Back" drive for funds a real success, everyone who has not as yet done so, is urged again to make a deposit to the Robert Peterson Fund. Additions to the account are being accepted at the State •Bank of Huntley by mail or in person, and a record of depositors is being kept by bank officials.
The Jaycees Las Vegas Night is scheduled for Saturday. March 4th. at the American Legion at 8:00 P.M. A share of the evenings profit will be awarded to the "Back Bob's Back" fund. This evening of games of chance will be the closing event of the "Back Bob's Back" drive for funds.
BOB FRANKS STARS IN "CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF"
Casting has been completed and rehersals have begun for McHen¬ ry County College's production of "Cat On A Hot Tin Roof by Tennesee Williams, scheduled for 8:00 p.m. on March 9, 10. and 11th at the Woodstock Opera House.
"I am enthusiatic about our cast members and Icxjking for¬ ward to an exciting production," states Bob Riner. director and MCC theatre instructor. Riner, a new faculty member, comes to MCC with a wide range of experience in educational and community theatre. In addition to teaching theatre for six years at North County Community College in Saranac Lake, New York, he has directed and acted profes¬ sionally both in Seattle and New York. While in New York, he also founded a children's touring company "The Blue Phrog Play¬ ers" which performed for 12,000 to 15.000 each season.
"Cat On A Hot Tin Roof is a college-community pixxluction and cast members come from throughout the county. The role of Big Daddy will be played by Dr. Rober Frank. MCC philosop¬ hy instructor, while Barb Beger, an instructor at McHenry Alter¬ native High School, will play his wife. Big Mama. Marge Mclntyre, from Fox River Grove has been cast as Maggie "the cat" aND Bruce Beger. a former MCC student from McHenry will play the role of Big Daddy's son Brick.
Edwin Fish, an MCC student from Wonder Lake as Oooper and Bonnie Lamfcin, a second grade teacher at Coventry School in Crystal Lake, as Mae, compkte tiie list of m^ roles.
