MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE VILLAGE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
The Village Board of Trustees held their regular meeting in the Board Room of the Village Hall on October 7, 1976 at 8pm.
Those present were: President Enstrom, Trustees Stroupe, Eise- nmenger, Ackman, Lohneis and Frank; Trustee Manning absent. Also attending were Attorney Caldwell, Village Engineer Don Schwegel,Percy Swanson and Marvin Radloff.
As the first order of business the minutes of Sept. 2fld meeting were presented and there being no additions nor corrections, a motion was made by Trustee Frank, seconded by Trustee Eise- nmenger to approve as presented and upon roll call, all trustees present voted aye and the motion carried.
The Treasurer's Report a$ of Sept. 30th was reviewed. A motion was made by trustee Stroupe, seconded, by Trustee Ackman to approve of this curren month's report and upon roll call, all trustees voted aye and the motion carried.
The municipal tax for July 1976 amounted to $8,326.78.
The monthly bills were review- ed and after discussion, a motion was made by Trustee Lohneis, seconded by Trustee Eisenmen- ger to approve the payment of same and upon roll call, all trustees voted aye and the Clerk was instructed to issue payment for their amount.
The President then called on three representatives of the Coral Grafton Drainage Group, who stated that they were present at the meeting to Continue their report, which had been initiated some months ago. They advised the Board that a permit had been obtained to clear the Kishwaukee waterflow from the Marengo Bla¬ cktop to the CNW railway trestle, and that they were now ready to request some fmancial assistance from the Village of Huntely. After their report. Trustee Frank made • a motion, seconded by Trustee Ackman to grant this group $2000.00. Upon roll call, all trustees voted aye and the motion i carried.
Next, Mr. Paul Rosenwinkel was called upon at which time he expressed his gratitude to the village for the water that was used to extinguish the bam fire on his farm.
Mr. Charles Conley, President of the Snowmobile Club, stated he was at the meeting to ask if there were aite^ questions the board had for the club and asked about the manner in which the stickers for the snowmobiles wou¬ ld be handled. The Board advised that a police officer would be on hand when the time came for the purchase of these and also comm¬ ended the club on the fine job they were doing.
President Enstrom then called Mr. Dan Ziller, President of the School Board. He stated that he wanted to discuss the Lincoln Street extension. The School Boa¬ rd is willing to Share costs of repairs as set out previously. He advised that the Park Board I wanted to trade land for the I extension. After this was discuss-

FERE DEFT- DEMONSTRATION
Pictured above is Sgt. Richard Ptak who was named acting Chief of Police by the Mayor last week. Ptak has been a member of the Huntley Police Department since 1970 when he was hired as a part time officer. In September of 1974, he was employed as a full time policeman and made Sargent in April of 1975. Acting Chief Ptak was formerly a member of the Island Lake Police Department. At present he lives in Hanover Park but plans to move to Huntley in the near future. Acting Chief Ptak Is married and has two children, Jina 11 and Maria, 9. He and his wife, Evelyn are looking forward to their move to Huntley.

All Ages - Prizes for all! Even the
Senior Citizens and those who are

Parade will proceed around the
Village Square and  to the  Fire
Station. Leading the parade will
be Huntley's Fire Trucks, Police
• Department   and    the    Huntley
Band.
Judging will be in age groups.
r Refreshments will be served  to
"^ each group as they finish judging.

j Jr. High & High School Dance : will be held from 9:00 pm to 11:30 pm. This year prizes will be given for Jr. & St. High in dancing competition. So come one - come all - and dance. You may be a winner!

The Huntley Fire Department held an open house on Thursday, October 7th at the Huntley Fire Station. The open house for the most part was dedicated to the equipment and men of the Huntley Rescue Squad who without pay train and answer emergency lifesaving calls in their district. At approximately 8:30 the department demonstrated how to extingush a propane gas fire. Although this was not as spectacular as burning a car which was the demonstration last year, it showed the knowledge and efficiency of

The regular monthly meeting of the Citizens Advisory Council of Huntley was called to order by Chairman Wally Pupich at 7:50 pm in the Huntley High School Library on Sept. 28, 1976.
A   membership   enrollment sheet was passed around. Tbere were 31 people who signed up for membership.
