Out of 16 registered teams, the Huntley Team took 1st Place in the Aigonqnin Founders Day fights. On July 26th, the Huntley team competed in Wilmot, Wise, placing second. Currently the Huntley team ia in first place hi the McHenry County Water fight Assn.
On Sunday, September Mth at 1:00 p.m. Huntley will host the McHenry County Waterflght Tournament at the Village Square. This is the first time in 20 some years that Huntley has been in firat place in the McHenry County Assn.

Fire Chief Phil Freund annouttced today that the Fue Department needs 4 or 5 new men. If anyone ia interested in becoming a Huntley Fireman they should call 669-5146.

Last Monday, August 4th, an Emergency Blood Bank was held ati the Huntley Legion Home. The blood drive netted 81 pints of blood. The Aurora Area Blood Bank was dangerously low on their supply of whole blood. According to Chairman Neva Robertshaw when the bkxxl bank asked her about a drive, she said that the people of Huntley would come through and they did. Mrs. Robertshaw would like to thank everyone who so generously donated in this time of n**^- Continued on Page 17

On July 29th, a new business openedln Huntley called thej Sunshine Boutkiue at 20 North Street. The Boutk]ue is housed' where Lemon Tree formerly resided. The new store is owned and operated by Judy Manoch wbo was a 7th & Sth grade teacher in Crystal Lake for oyer 10 years.
Judy grew up on a farm near Farmington, Dl. which is 23 miles west of Peoria. She attended Dlinois State University in Normal where she earned a B.S. k M.S. degreea. In 1969 Judy moved to Crystal Lake and started her teaching career.
Whea aaked why she dedded to start into a new line of wotk, she said that she wanted a change of jobs and that she liked meeting new pe«^le. She added that she likes small towns since she was raised in one.
Miss Manoch will have sportswear including blouses, sweaters, tops, slacks, and some skirts sizes 5-42. Purses, jewelry k crafts are also available.
The Sunshine Boutique's hours are: Closed Simdays k Mondays; Open - 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday k Saturday - 9 a.m. to8 p.m. on Fridays.

SALE
This year's Sidewalk Day will be held this Saturday, August 9th. If the weather holds, there will be musk:al entertainment by the SenH>r Citizen's Kitchen Band. They will be playing at the Huntley Center at 10 a.m. and in the downtown paik at 12:30 p.m. The band will be transported to the Center on a Freund Equipment flatbed truck piano and all. Weaver will have an organ at the Center for more entertainment.
A spedal feature for those who like rock music will be the Magnum Force. They will be performing in the downtown park this Saturday at 2 p.m.
Also at the Center, there will be hot dogs and pop sold by the Huntley Boy Scouts outside of the Huntley Supermarket and sweet corn to go with It at Farmside Auto's Com Roast. They will alao have prizes so be
sure to stop in. McHenry Savings will be giving away Note holders k suckers in their office.
As you .leave the Center headed fbr downtown, be sure to stop at Hansen's for salt. Coming down the road is Hansford Chevrolet where a large selection of used and new autos can be found. Be sure to stop in and say hello. On the opposite side of Route 47, the State Bank of Huntley is found where the kiddies can get fiee suckers and ballons.
