HEARING January 22
The hearing for the garbage dump (landfill) north of Htmtley is scheduled to begin at 9:00 Tuesday, January 22nd, at Building D, McHenry County Fairgrounds, Woodstodc. It will continue until all testimony is completed. The expert testi¬ mony is sdieduled first. An evening meeting to be announc¬ ed at least 48 hours in advance is planned to allow public testimony. If you ^idsh to testify you may register one of three ways: 1) before January 22 give your name to Michael Kukla, LEAC's attomey, so he can register it; 2) sign up yourself prior to 9:00 January 22nd; 3) sign up yourself prior to beginning time of the evening meeting.
You may find out about the date and time of the evening meeting by a) posters at Huntley Pbst Offlce and the shopping center; b) watdiing Crystal Lake and/or Woodstock newspapers; c) contacting the Couunty Board office in Wood¬ stock; d) a call list. Ifyou wish to be put on a call list, phone Jim Greve at 669-3446.
Even if you do not care to speak, LEAC needs the support d your presence at as many of the hearing sessions as you can possibly attend.
You may still write letters of opinion to the County Board members. Address your letter to the Coanty Board, % County Cletk., 2200 North Seminaiy, Woodstock, IL 60098.
Evening Meeting to be Held Jan. 30
The Regional Pollution Con¬ trol Facility Committee of the McHenry County Board wiU held a hearing on the McHeniy County Landfill Application on Tuesday, January 22, 1985, commencing at 9:00 am, in Building D at the McHenry County Fairgrounds in Wood¬ stock; any and all parties wishing to testify must sign in on the first date of the heiu4ng; if the hearing should extend beyond one session, no addi¬ tional parties shall be allowed to testify. Said meeting will adjoum to the next day, for several days, if necessary, with the meeting time to be announced at the time of adjoumment each day.
In addition, there will be an evening hearing on said landfill application on Wedneaday, Jan¬ uary 30, 1985 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Huntley Grade School, 11302 Lincoln, Huntley. Persons wishing to testify should sign in that evening, immediately prior to the com¬ mencement ofthe hearing.
