PARK DISTRICT HALLOWEEN PARADE
JAYCEES HAUNTED HOUSE
The Huntley Park District held a Halloween Parade wfth children being presented on stage with their enchanting costumes. An oldie but a goodie 'Hold that Ghost" with Abbott & (ostello was shown in the Grade School Gym. Refreshments were served following the movie. The parade capped off an aftemoon of Trick or Treating.

MINUTES OF THE REGULAR
MEETING OF THE HUNTLEY
PARK DISTRICT
The regular meeting of the Huntley Park District was called to order by Preaident Borfaart at 8 o'dock Wedneday, October 28, 1981. Present were Commissioners Borhart, Turea, Weltzien, Mercer and Jura. Also present were Attomey Cowlin and LeRoy Wirsing.
The minutes ofthe September 23rd meeting were read. Mr. Tures moved to approve the minutes, seconded by Mr. Weltzien. All Commissioners voted aye and the motion carried.
The Treasurer's report was given. Mr. Weltzien made a motion to accept the report, secoaded by Mrs. Mercer. All Commissioners voted aye and the motion carried.
The bills for the month were I^eseoted. Mr. Tures made a motioa to pay all bills, seconded by Mrs. Mercer. All ayea aad the motion carried.
Larry Kahl entered the meeting, and he and Mr. Wiraing gave their report. Tbe board disctissed getting the park ready for winter and the winter work schedule. Mr. Wirsing and Mrs. Kahl then left the meeting.
Mr. Jurs reported on the park planning proposal. He made a mtoion to accept the proposal from harland Bartholomew and Asociates to atart January 1982, seconded by Mrs. Mercer. All ayes and the motion carried.
Betsey Warrington entered the meeting and gave her report on park programs, then left the meeting.
A motion to pay Mrs. Warrington's expenses for the Illinois AssocUtion of Paik Districts convention was made by Mr. Tures, seconded by Mr. Weltzien. All ayes; the motioa carried.

lie Redskins Varsity played an "excellent game againat Valley Lutheran last Friday, he Skins came out in the lat Quarter and scored. Valley had problems with fumbling the ball but played a pretty good game. Valley made a field goal at the end of the 3rd Quarter but couldn't catch up to the Redskins lead. As always the Redskins defense was superb. The offensive line did fairly well.
Newton took the kickoff to the 30. Newton went to the 33 and then to the 36. Valley player Christ Black was injured and taken to the hospital. Erath moved to the Valley 48. The Redskins went to the 33 on a Valley penalty. Reeves moved to the 31. Schweiger went to the IS on a pass. Newton moved to the 14. Valley Lutheran intercepted a pass at the 6. Carlock downed Sterling at the 7. Schweiger and Barrett tackled Sterling at the 13. Valley went back to the 4 on a penal^. Schweiger tackled
lyrd at tfae 3. Martin, in superl play, recovered a fumble at the Valley 3. Reynolda went to the 1. Reeves was held to the 1. Erath went in for the TD. Reynolds punted for the esUa pt which was good.
Reynolds kicked off to tfae 16. Ervin stopped Schultz at the 23.
Martin and Barrett downed Sterling at the 26. Livingston, in a great play, recovered a fumble. Reynolds went to the 29. The Redskins fumbled and Valley Hltzeroth recovered at the 30. Schweiger, in a great play, sacked the quarterback at the 23. The 2nd Quarter began with Erath stopping Loeb at the 3S on a pass play. Barrett held Christensen at the 45. Reynolds and Ervin downed Steriing at the Huntley 45. Valley was moved back IS yards on fi penalty. Valley recovered their own fumble. Eisenmenger and Livingaton tackled Christensen at the 43. The screams could be heard blocks away as the Jaycee's frienda Dracula, Frankenstein and many more welcomed children of all ages into their Haunted House. The Jaycees held the Haunted House on Thursday aad Saturday nigha. This year was one of the scariest of all. Some of those passing through wete put into a coffin. Others were grabbed by Dracula. The Jaycees wish to thank all who attended and invite them back next year.
