Groundbreaking ceremonies were held last Sunday at the Medical Center at the Univer¬ sity of Illinois located at Taylor and Wilcqtt ifl Chicago for the Ed<vin and Lois Deicke Eye Center. The 5 million dollar structure will be part of the Lions of Illinois Eye Research Institute. It will be the heart of the Institute, {kccording jp Nprin Dahl of the Lions of Hiinoia. Mr. Dahl stated that this will be a research and discovery facility fof sight conservation and sight restoration.
The Lions Qub raised 4.1 million dollars towards the construction of the fadlity. Mr. & Mrs. Deicke were the largest single donors towards the project. It is hoped that the building will be finished in 18 months. Mr. Deicke is a past District Govemor of the lions Club. Among other tiling^, .he- ~,.ptovuted.^tbe- mmrcy .?rtri<* purchased the land for Deick^ Park located in Huntley. For many years he served on the Huntley Park Board.

F-S LOSE
Last Friday the Redskin F-S Football Team played South Beloit losing 6-0. South Beloit made a TD in the 1st Quarter for the lead.
Huntley's Smith went to the 35. Basel went to the 39. Mesick was moved back tti the 32.
Sobos 27 was downed by Korotasz and Murphy at the 45. 21 was tackled by DeDina and Overstreet at the 42. DeDina held 13 at the 40.
Huntley took over on the 28. Overstreet went to the 31. Basel moved to the 35.
Sobos 21 on the kickoff was downed by DeDina & Over- street. Murphy tackled 21 at the 47. Wulf, in a great play,; recovered a fumble for thef Skins.
In the 2nd half, DeDina recovered an onside kick at the 47. Overstreet went to the 49. Mesick went to the 46 and then to the 44. Ream moved to the SB 42 for a 1st down. Basel wentto the SO.

SHOOTING ON ALGONQUIN ROAD
Steve Tracy and Kurt HofRtnan were ruahed to Sherman Hospital shortly after noon after a shooting incident on the Huntley-algonquin Black¬ top just north of Ruth Road. William Wilson was taken into custody by Huntley Police and McHenry County SherifTs Deputies and is being held under $200,000 bond charged with 2 counts of attempted murder. According to witnesses, an argument took place at Sam's Family Restaurant between Wilson, Hoffman and Tracy.

The President called the meeting to order at 7:3S p.m. Upon roll call the following members answered present: Mrs. Massett, Mr. O'Brien, Mr. Pupich and Mr. Zirk. Absent: Mrs. Basel, Mr. Heavey and Mr. Reid.

Mr. O'Brien moved Mrs. Massett 2nd to approve the minutes of the August 26 regular meeting as written. The motion carried 4 yeas aad 0 nays.
Mr. O'Brien moved Mr. Zbk 2nd to approve the confidential minutes of the closed session of the August 26 meeting lield at 8:15 p.m. as written. The motion carried 3 yeas and 0 nays.
