HUNTLEY HIGH SCHOOL
Last Tuesday, May 6, Huntley High School held hs annual Awards Banquet at the Grade School Oym beginning with a pot luch dinner. Dr. Bunt welcomed the students and families while Wally Pupich gave the Invocation.
Students receiving certificates fot scholarship, talent in fine arts or citizenship were:

Last Sunday the Grade school students under the direction of | Mrs. Grilfin held their own Art Show and Ice Cream Social with over 100 attending.
At 2:30 p.m. the Sth Grade Band under the direction of Gaiy Glowacz, held their first concert. The band played "St. Alban Hymn", "The Peanut Song", "Valse Petite" and the "William Tell Overature." Julie Bunt was soloist playing "The Gladiator" on I trumpet. Mr. Glowacz said that he was proud of the band who hJ worked all year for the concert. Mrs. Gloria Chritiansen accompanied Julie Bunt.
During and after the concert, cake and ice cream were served in the halls to those attending.
Art of all kinds was on display fit>m the K-6th grades. There was a mural of animaU from long ago, butterflies. Hand puppets, day models, figures made out of newspaper. Egg carton fiBures. facn*

The Miss Huntley Contest will be held May IS at 8:00 p.m. in the Grade Schooi Gym. Iliere are 10 contestants running fbr Miss Huntley.

MOTHER-DAUQHTER BANQUET
Beth Neperman of Plato Center will be the guest speaker atthe Mother-Daughter Ban¬ quet Saturday, May 10th at the Congregational Church. Miss Neperman was a participant in the 4-H Youth Exchange Program this last summer. She lived and worked with four farm families in diiferent areas of the country. Beth will relate her experiences of living abroad and show her slides of her host country.
Miss Neperman was the 1978 Illinois Dairy Princess. She was a 4-H nieml>er for 10 years and a leader for 2 years.
The public is invited to the banquet. Tickets may be obtained from the Men's Fellowship members or calling the chnrch office.
