Bank Honors Directors
The State Bank of Huntley honored Louis Van Acker and Henry Marlowe at a dinner held at the Anvil Club. Mr. Van Acker has been a continuous director for thirty years and Mr. Marlowe has been a member of the board of directors for twenty-six years.
During their time of directorship, they have seen the bank grow from $1 Million to over $27 Million. They have helped in forming every major decision from instituting installment loans to the building of the new bank.
Mr. Van Acker has now retired from farming and Mr. Marlowe just recently celebrated being in business for fifty years.

Village Board Minutes
The Regular Meeting was called to order by President Enstrom on Thursday, Novem¬ ber 3, 1983, at 8.00 PM and was held in the Board Room of the VUlage Hall.
Present were President En¬ strom, Trustees Wicke, Berlin, Brown, Ahrens, Dhamer and Mercer. Alao attending were Attorney Szura, Village Engin¬ eer Schwegel, members of the Public Works Department and PoUce Chief Rossi.
Minutes of the October meeting were presented to the tnistees and there being no additions nor corrections, they stood approved as set out.
The current Treasurer's Report as well as the regular current financial reports, were reviewed by the tnistees. Trustee Mercer made a motion to accept the Treasurer's Report as presented, seconded by Trustee Berlin, and upon roll call, all trustees voted aye and the motion carried.
The bills for current ezpenses were put before the trustees for their review. Thereafter, a motion was made by Trustee Mercer, seconded by Trustee Brown, to approve the payment of same and upon roll call, all
motion carried. A listing of same is attached. At the same time, an invoice from Randy Stading in the amount of $200.90 for jetting was submitted for approval. Trustee Mercer made a motion to issue payment for same, seconded by Trustee Dhamer. Roll Noted: Mercer, aye; Wicke. aye; Dhamer, aye; Ahrens, aye; Brown, aye; and Berlin, aye. Motion carried.
Lions Minutes
President Schaller called the regular meeting of the Huntley Lions Club to order with 38 members and 3 guests present. Lion Tom Crane and the Liberace of Huntley May Chesak. combined to lead the club in singing "For He's a Jolly Good Fellow" and "God Bless America". Charlie (fastest clippers in town) Lamb lead in the Pledge of Allegiance and Del Borhan delivered the invocation. Our guests for the evening were Mark Weber, F.rnie Sicks and Zone Chairman Jim Hutchinson. Secretary L. Sass read thc minutes of the last meeting which were approved as read on a motion by Dick Kohley, 2 d Charlie Lamb.
John Mattingly reponed that the club ttx)k in over $750 on the Pancake Breakfast. Al this time no bills had been received, so a final report will be given at thc next meeting.
Our X-mas Party will be held Sat. December 3 at the Legion. Letters will be mailed out with a Post Card requiring RSVP. Lion Herb Thurow talked about the Steak Fry which will be held Jan. 28ih at the Legion. Tickets will be $6.SO and plans are to hold a raffle in conjunction with the dinner.
The club will send 3 teams to the District Bowling Touma¬ ment in Addison.
President Enstrom announc¬ ed that the Resolution to honor Hariey Mackeben would be given to him at the December meeting.
He then called Kenneth Bakley of Bakley Construction Corp. to the Board table. Mr. Bakley stated that he had received a "punch list" form Baxter and Woodman and had come before the Board and Mr. Schwegel with three questions.
The forst was if he could use PVC instead of cast iron for the water main material. Second, he asked for permission to put the storm sewer across the park this fall before plans are completed and to Mr. Schwegel. Mr. Schwegel asked when these plans would be complete and Mr. Bakley said that they would be submitted "as built" plans. Third, re the overflow manhole, he felt that the design should be done by Village Engineers. This was referring to the overflow relief on the storm sewer problem at Church and Douglas which willage and Bakley Construction were to work together to correct.

He suggested the village pay for the sewer eztension up Algonquin Road and recapture this expense at the proper time. President Schaller mentioned the Glaucoma Bus which will be in Huntley on Nov. Mth. from 1:30 - 4:30. Workers were needed to help the nurses.
The next Zone meeting will be held Monday Nov. 28 at Union. Seems we are in possion of their gavel. How did that Happen?

The club's next meeting will be December 13 as the 2 d meeting in Nov. and Dec. have been cancelled due to the holidays.
Zone Chairman. Jim Hutchi¬ son then took the floor stating that it is always a pleasure to visit Huntley. He talked about the 19 members we dropped during the 1982-83 year. Huntley is still 2d in membership in the entire district. He challenged the member fo invite their neigh¬ bors to dinner so we can increase membership. Lion Jim then presented a 1.5 million pin to Warren Hansen for sponsor¬ ing a new member. Lion Jim also mentioned an endowment fund that can be set where an individual can have contribu¬ tions to the Lions of Illinois Foundation in lieu of flowers.
The tailtwister collected $40.00 for the evening.
