Library Meeting Held
Ag Expo
IVpa
Thursday evening, March Srd, saw more than forty people attending an informa¬ tion meeting in regard to a proposed public library in Huntley. The School Media Center made a proper setting for School Librarian Dan Kern to tell those assembled of the desire, efforts thus far, and prospects for the establishment of the new facility.

of up to one year. These
state and federed funds would
be used to demonstrate to
Huntley area residents the
various programs beneficial

Groundwater Protection Act
The Illinois Department of Agriculture is joining with several other agencies to sponsor a series of workshops on groundwater protection during March.
Farmers are more dependent on groundwater than any other segment of our population. We expect their interest in these sessions to be very high due to their concern of what the impact might be on their own families as well as the rest of their respective communities.
The one-day workshops, beginning in mid-March, are designed to provide participants with a thorough overview of the Illinois Groundwater Protection Act (IGPA) passed by the Illinois General Assembly last year.
Our farmers and agribusi¬ ness leadera have a. reputa¬ tion for being responsible stewards...their involvement in support of the IGPA indicates their desire to stay on the cuttting edge of initiatives aimed at doing everything possible to assure the safety of our environment is maintained.
