New i-oyalty began its reign over iictivities in McHenry county last week climaxinfj 4-H Ni^t at the McHcniy Couriity Fair wit hthe se- leotion of Sue Borhart, Huntiey, and Ben Jacobs, Jr.. Ringwood, as 4-H Queen arKl King, rcs-x>ctavely.
An evening honoring 4-.H mem- ber.i with a presentation of projects, talent and programs reached its hi^ight with the crowning of the new royalty ty outgoing King and Quean, Tom Lagcrhausen, Wood¬ stock, nnd Sue Kiflilman, Hebixm.
Miss Borhart. the new Queen, is a lO-ycar 4-H member with nine years of dairy projects; three yeare of photography and six years of poultry. Sue, 18, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Uo:hart, is a member cf tho 1-H Cloveiieaf Booster^. She attG"dod the S'jate 4-H Week at Urbsna this summer and .«:bf» bar- taken the Citizens' Short Course.
Jacobs 17, son of Mr. ard Mrs. Ben Jacobs, Sr., is a member of the McLakowood 4-M dub and is an eight-yea:- mrm'bor with beef, six year, and rabbits, five years as his main project interests.
Sidewalk Sale This Saturday, August 9th
nris Saturday, Au:!it.^t 9th side¬ walk day will be hold in Huntloy. Merchants throughout the Village will have disphiys and special bar- ,i?ains on the sidewalk and inside their Rhi>ps. Thi'; is the 4th year that a sidewalk .>;ale has been held in this conmuiiity. In past years mcst of the activities were down¬ town in the Village Square. How- e\cr this year shops along: Route 47 and in thp Huntley Center will have a vuriety of bargains.
