Outstanding Home Economics Stduent
Patsy Jo Piske, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Piske of 226 E. Main St. in untley, was awarded the Crisco Trophy for her work in Home Economics at untley High School's annual Awards Day, May 28th.
The Gold Trophy was presented to Miss Piske, a senior at Huntley High School, by the Home Econcwn- ics teacher, Mrs. Rot)ert Mowers. In presenting the Crisco Trophy, Mrs. Mowers congratulated Patsy Jo on the excellence she has shown in her work and said she "felt cer¬ tain her achievements in home eco- nmoics should be of life long bene¬ fit to Patsy Jo and her family."
Patsy Jo has completed three Home Ec. classes this year, Child care and Development, Family Liv¬ ing a.s well as a Food Service class.
Patsy Jo plans to attend Elgin Communiiy College next fall.

Tournament will be a five team draw with one team drawing a bye. Numbers 1 & 2 will play on 7-15-71 and number 3 & 4 will play on 7-19-71. The two winners will flip a coin to see who will play the team that drew a bye. This game will be played on 7-22-71. Next the winner of this game and the team that won the flip will play on 7-26-71 for the championship. The toss of a coin will also determine the home team at all tournament games.

VICA Luncheon
About 17 employers faculty mem¬ bers and friends were guests of the Huntley High School Consolidated Education program at a noon lunch¬ eon at the Huntley American Le¬ gion on Thursday, June 3.
Mr. Roger Simpson coordinator of the project was the master of ceremonies, e told of tho work of the VICA program, which just finish¬ ed its first year in the Huntley Seth ool system. Ho said that there had been ,some difficult times and that some of the young people had learned much from their jobs and .some had not learned as much de¬ pending upon the employer and, ot course the student employee. He said that statistics show that young people who fret out of High Sohool, on their first job arc fired from the first three jobs that they have. He stated that he hoped lhat this work experience had fitted the students witlh a better knowledge as to how to get along with an employer on a job and what their duty as an em¬ ployee consisted of.
He has a chart which showed the relationship of the student to the school and the employer to the stu¬ dent, and the school and the school and the student to the employer. This chart was photographed by this newspaper and may appear in the next issue.

Vacation Bible School Monday
The Trinity Lutheran Church, Huntley, will be having Vacation Bible School beginning Monday, June 6, and continuing until June 18, 9:00 - 113:0 a.m. This year's theme is "God's Children Pray." ExceUent studies and handcraft are in store for all who attend. Classes will be conducted for nursery age through those completing sixth grade. Ev¬ ery child is welcome. Be sure to see tfaat your children are present if It is possible.
