The purpoae of Ihe meeting was to permit 'i^omey Ceddwell to ex¬ plain the Aities of eaoh of the boards and to conduct other busi¬ ness pertinent to the 9t>wth of Huntley
Attorney CiidweH exiilained tbat it was tfae doty of ti>e Huntley Zon¬ ing Board to rule on vaiiatlbna of zoning within the corporate limits of Himtley
The duties of the MaiHiing Com¬ mission is to determine what the l>cst use of land is both Tvithin the Village and within a 1% miles from the ViHage limits.
Attorney Caldwell explained that althoush the plannng commission had the power ta detennine how land Ihould be used within this 1^ mile they had not implemented this {kcwtr- He said that aih order to im- |4einent thte power the commission must fliit pass the comprehensive plan. This |4an was drawn up in May of 1>64. However it was never pa»ed by the Planning Cotnmiasion, whldi at one point several years ago leslgned iu mass.
