NEW HUNTLEY SUPERMARKET NOW OPEN AT SHOPPING CENTER
The new Huntley Supennarket opened its doors for busirtess on Wednesday, November 10. Many Huntley residents were on hand early to see the new shopping cen¬ ter.
The store features a well stocked dairy section, bakery sectwn, meat departments, produce department, and liquor department. In the neer future a delicaticion will alsa b? fea^ tured at the store, 'niere an? six ailes of food.
In addition to the food and bev¬ erage departments the supermarket will sell Home fiix-it supplies, school supplies ete.
There arc tftiree check out couters and a door which opens automatic- ly when a customer leaves the store.
Mr, Ted Olson, manager of the store, stated that the customer can expect and will receive fresh meat and produce and curtious service.. ¦ . Store hours are Monday - Satur¬ day from 8 ajn. to 11 p..m. and on Sundny from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

The Huntley American Legion will hdd thedr annual Poultry Sale this Saturday, November 13th at 8 p.m. at the American Legion Home. On Tuesday Nov. 9 the Republi¬ can Centrol Committee headed by Jack Schaffer held a meethig of the 23 Republican candidates for Dis¬ ttict 1 of the County Board. Bedi candidate was questioned, as to his past voting record and his allegiaDce to the Republican Party. Tlie Pre¬ cinct Committeemen and the press then questioned tSue candidateG. The two most talked of tot^cs were pol¬ lution and assessment. Each was given 3 minutes to tell his quali ^- catkms for the office.
