It's an old family recipe said Alice Joi-di and refuses to give out tlie secret, and the spaghetti was prepared to perfection by Joyce Rudrfnski. Janet Graff assisted these two women in the kitchen making salads, slicing bread and filled in where needed. Bertha Ran- deJs cut the cakes and handed out the desert. Three hundred forty- two people bought tickets and thor ougWy enjoyed the evening out. Favorable comments flowed through¬ out the evening, but the one Scout¬ master Jordi appreciated most was the one "Rememlx?r us next year when you sell ticlcets." The scouts of troop wish to thank the Ameri can L^on awl the Legion Auxil¬ iary for the use of their fine fa¬ cilities as well as Dean Food Com pany and 'Bev's Village Inn for their generous donations, and the many fine people who supported us. En¬ ough money was realized to pay the bus trip to Galena, the new flags and a little expense money. New Flags Arrive The new flags, an American and a troop flag have arrived just in time as Troop 167 steps off in parade unit one Saturday, April 26 in Galena, 111., where they will oomjiete for the best dressed unit amoi^ the 10,000 scouts represent¬ ing Blackhawk Area (Council, A full bus of scouts and interested Syectatofs will board the North Western Garage bus at 5:30 on Saturday to make the trip. Good Luck 167. Paul Revere C»mporee A winter type spring ccunp out was enjoyed this past week end at Kunde Woods, Marengo. The only thing mksing was the snow. 13 Scouts and four leaders braved the wind, nain and bitter spring like weather to compete in the Paul Revere Camporee. Our troop tied for second place in the competitive events, wMcb was a good showing for a group of young scouts. Mr. Schachtner also served for fifteen years on the Strto Bl^iJ as a d'- rector for the Township Oi'ficials. To these donors and to those who tried, I am extremdy grateful. Colds were the main rea son for rejection. Special thanks to the students, tliey were well repre- srntetl. She needed al least 16 pints of blood, whicn was supplied by the Aurora Blood Bank. Several of her friends were donors at Huntley. If anyone care to donate during the year contact Mrs. Robertshaw or the Woodstock or McHenry Hospl tals. The hospitals have a drawing once a month at the hospitals. A special thank you to the Ameri¬ can Legion Auxiliary for sponsoring the blood bank and to our. Presi¬ dent Mrs. Marilyn Eckman for giv¬ ing me the privilege of being tiie chairman. To all of the workers who worked so hard to make tlie Huntley Blood Drive successful Neva Robertshaw Huntley Blood Bank Chairman Date A Brownie Nite Success On April 15th, Browsie Troop 59, and Troop 220, held thelir annual 'Date A Broiwiie' night. It was held at tbe Congregational Church from 7:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. everyone that attended piayed games of their dioioe. There were twelve ganies to choose from. The theme of our fim night was, 'Our Pop's Are Tops.' Refreshments were served by some of tbe Brownie Mothers, the Lead ers, and Co-Leadeis. Everyone had a great time. Brownie Troop 59, and Troop 220, would like to express their tiianks to Rev. Frank, for allowing us to use the Fellowship Hall for this event. Also a spedai Thank You to the Mothers who helped serve refreshments, and everyone else who helped to make this event a comiriete success. Notice To Fans The baseball and track seascm has already begun at Huntley High School. We urge everyone's active support for those teams. Remember it is a cheering gallery that hdps spur our athletic teams oon towards victory. You will recall the successes of our Huntley teams already this year.
