2ND PLACE LION CLUB FLOAT
On Saturday, August 14th Hun¬ tley's 125th Anniversary began with dignitaries being escorted to the reviewing stand by the Hunt¬ ley Police Department as a crowd of about 3,000 people watched. Never has there been such an assembly of officials. The line of cars began with Marilyn Eckman, secretary, driving Louise Kreu¬ tzer, Anniversary Chairman to the stand. Representative and Mrs. Robert McClory, State Rep. Bruce Wadeli and Father L. D.
Day took their places next. Then Al Jordan, County Auditor, Tho¬ mas Ehorn, Coroner and Judge Conrad Floeter arrived. Other officials to attend the celebration were Lillegar of West Dundee, Mayor Anneball of West Dundee; Mayor Bartells of East Dundee; Cal Skinner Sr., County Board Members; Sheriff Art Tyrrell; Mayor Le Fleu of Harvard; Phillis Walters, County Board members from Algonquin Township; Vice President Bergsma of Richmond.
Bill Hubbard, County Board Me¬ mber; Mayor Schmitt of Union; Cal Skinner Jr., State Represent¬ ative: Judge Heremann, Virginia Brunschon, Grafton Township as¬ sessor and Jack Brunschon, Graf¬ ton Township Road Commission¬ er, Tom Hanrahan and Judge Leonard Brody.
The official Parade began with the Police car sirens blaring to mark the beginninK .

DEAN'S MILK WINS 1ST PLACE
THE PARADE WINNERS
Judging the entries at the Anniversary parade were Dan Ziller, Lexie Burfield, Herb Eggers, Mae Chesak and Rev. Dr. Fred Harm.
The winners are: Regular vehicles - 1st place Dean Foods; 2nd place K. P. Bakley Construction Company.
Novelty winners were: 1st place - the Geneva Fire Department Clowns; 2nd place the McHen¬ ry County Shrine Club.
Horse competition was won by McHenry County Sheriff's Posse, 1st place; Tom McGee and Tom Powers, 2nd place.
1st place for Antique vehicles went to Freund Equipment with Ben Hansford Chevrolet in 2nd place.
Lisa Brunschon won the bicycle competition.
Marching units were: 1st plaoe the Navy ROTC Unit from Great Lakes; 2nd plaoe was tied by the Huntley Boy Scouts and the Huntley Girl Scouts and Brownies.
