Pictured above are scenes at the final football pep nseinbly at Huntley school. The assembly was held to celebrUe HunHey's receivmg first place In LJttle Eight Conference. Membere of the team and -6w coaches were honored. Coach McDonald was presented a coffte taUe, which was made from a cut printed in the Hantley Farmside Newspaper prior to Huntley's final game. The page supported the team and contained the names of over 200 residents who supported the Redskins. Ilie cot wUcfa measured 16 x 23 was mounted uiider glass to Mr. McDonald by the team. The table was made by Mr. Gene Lindsey and Glenn Detaney <4 (he Huntley Boosters club. Following the assembly, the students were dismissed early.
Emergency School Announcements
Emergency school announcements for Huntley Consolidated Schooil Distnict No. 158 will be given to six ra<So stations. Local stations that will be used are: WIVS, 850 AM, Crystal Lake; WRMN. AM at 1410; and WJKL, FM at 94.3, Elgin.
Chicago stations to be used are: WGN, 720 AM; WMAQ, 670 AM; and WIND, 560 AM.
Vehicle Stickers
Chief Ridhiard Nelson announced this week that vehirfle gtickers may bo obtained at the Huntley Village Hall. The stickers will be on sale now through February. On March 1, 1973, a penalty will be charged, and residents who do next have stickers on their cars will be penal¬ ized and subject to a tratfic c»t»- tion. When Mr. Purdom acquired the building a month ago, he contacted the Oouncil, and work commenced ahout two weeks ago, removing three of the alleys. Scraping the paml and clearing up debris. Work Vos organized and directed by the youth, under the guidance of aduKs.
One alley and the ancient pin- setting machines will remain. The ccmmittee has had a pod table of¬ fered to them besides, end are work¬ ing to obtain a furnace and eitec- tricity lor "common ground." Other donated items have been obtained. It is tile hope of members of the committee that lhe youth of Hunt¬ ley will use the center much the same as a student union on a ool- k^ge campus.
