Herb JacUscb, o?nier of Pincrest Golf and Country Club, won the Western Senior General Stoclt Play Tournament held durinc the ast week. The tournament Is held in Pinfihurst. N.C. Golfers from aU over the country congregate for this annual event. The 54 hole medal play tournament include such famous players as Curtis PersonSiTruman Connell, "Spec" Goldman ai^ Tom Draper, all winners of many national senior golf tourna¬ ments.
Herti was first round leader with a score of 69. In the second roundy he fell back to one shot behind the leaders. In the third and final round, he won the tournament with a birdie by holing-out a bunker shot. He won the tournament by two strocks with Truman Connell in second place. Tliere were 188 players in the tournament.
Mr. Jackisch received a gold bag enscribed "Western Sr. Champ 1975" and the Traditional white champion jadc^

Jaycees Hold Charter Night
The Huntley Jaycees held their Charter dinner last Friday at the American Legion Home. Barry Bor- ohart was installed as the club's first president. The dub is com¬ prised of young men between the ages of 18 to 35. It is dedkjated to conunumty betterment. Ttawugfa- out the year the organdzatioo wiS do projects. Club, undertook was tho cleaning i^ of the triangle at Route 47 and Main Street.
A delicious roast beef dinner was served at the installation by the American Legion Auxiliary. The club has approximately twenty mem¬ bers and is looking for more. Many of tite members from the CXmdee Club, who extended the Huntley charter dinner were there to launch the new olub.

Bicentennial Events
BICENTENNIAL FILM SHOWING The Village of Huntley Bicenten¬ nial Commission will teve a "Movie Night" on July 1st at 7:30 p.m. at the Congix^gational Church Hall.
Two films will be shown. One was made by the State of lilinods and explains and shows how to celebrate the Bicentemual. The other film is a history of the flag of ow country and the events wluch created it and which have kept it a symbol of freedom. Ladies (and gentlemen) of ths Hunitley communilty are asked to participate in the making of a His¬ toiical quilt. A $25.00 Savings Bond will be awarded to the pea-son who makes the pirizewinning square.
Muslin squares wUl be made available to each contestant and each one is asked to make whatever .%he or he chooses pertaining to the hi-story of Huntley. TTie square will then be put together by wmen's groups of tho oommunity and then) qilted. After it is completod it wiH he Sold either by auction or dona¬ tions with the money going into the 125th Anniversary Fund. .

The Huntley Lions Oub held their liil^sUatiod cf Officers Sotunday, June ai, with 77 memtoens, wives and friends at^tending. This was the largest number ever attending such an event. Deput District Govenior IjCO Krumme of Crystal Lake was the installing Officer. Thise Instal¬ led: President, Dei Borhart; 1st Vin^ Presiden*, Eddie Hays; 2nd Vice Presddent, Chuck Ruth; 3rd Vice President^ick David; Lion Tamer, A. Tom Swanson; Tailtwisters, Jim Weirtch and Dennis Budlsiiisld; Dir¬ ectors, Roo Stroupe, Art Wicke, John Mattingly and Don Kohley; Seeretary-Tlreasurer, Chuck Lamb.
Prior to Ihas lion President Mel- sin Ewert called u?>on Lion Bud Webber to make a Sjpedal Presen¬ tation. Mr. Weber commented on a I)erson who had devoted 20 years to making the Huntley Lkms Grade School Basketball Tournament a huge success. The biggest in the State, and for these efforts, the Hurley Lions were presenting lion Olcn Delaney with a special Haque depicting the engraved picture of tho 1955 fifth and sixth grade team, which he coached that year. Mr. Delaney received a standing ovat¬ ion.
