Retirement Party at USMC
A noon luncheon and retire¬ ment party was held last Friday, September 1, in the Union Special Machine Company'e employee cafe¬ teria for four employees whose total time with the comiJany totaled   133   years.
Those retiring were Anton Gil¬ ders, Fox River Grove, 38 company years.rising to the ixjsition of su¬ pervisor; Sverre, Sonju, Lakewood. 34 CO. yeare, retired as a supervis¬ or; Cecil Bolz, 36 co. years, Fox River Grove, retired as foreman of the turret lathe department; and Joseph J. Suchor, Burton's Bridge, 25 CO. Years, retired as supervisor of the inspection department.
The four men retiring all start¬ ed their employment with the com¬ pany at the Chicago plant.
At the luncheon they were hon¬ ored by Mr. W. S. North, President of the Comipany.
New Huntley Teachers
The following people have joined fhe staflF at Huntley School for the 1967-68 school year:
Patrick Murphy of Dundee is the new elementary principal. Mr. Murphy has a B. S. Degree frcan Wisconsin State University at Platteville, his M. S. degree in ad¬ ministration from Northern Illinois University, and is enrolled in. the Sixth Year program at Northern. He has previously taught at the Oak Ridge Elementary School in Carpentersville, and in the Junior High School at Arlington Heights. Mr. Murphy is married, and his wife teaches in Arlington Heights.
Mrs. Kathleen Hanks of West Ehindee is teaching the morning kindergarten session. She is from Ottawa, Illinois, and holdes a B. S. degree from Northern Illinois Uni¬ versity. She previously taught kin¬ dergarten in Silver Springs, Mary¬ land. Mr. and Mrs. Henks are the parents of four children.
Mrs Elizabeth Anderson has re¬ turned to the Huntley school sys¬ tem after teaching several years in Woodstock, and has Grade IC She and her hus'band, Leroy, re¬ sides on Cindy Jo Avenue in Hunt¬ ley.
Grade 2C is being taught by Mrs. Marv Little, former first grade teacher at Huntley. She and her husband, Harry, reside in Gilberts.
Mrs. Bonitir Dwyerr who tor-' meriy taught Home Be. at Hunt¬ ley High School is teaching Grade 3C. Mrs. Dwyer, her husband Dick, and family reside on Woodstock St'-eet in Huntley.
Mrs. Nancy Fey of Rockford, Grade 4C, has a B.S. degree from Illinois Slate University at Nor¬ mal, and has done graduate work at Iowa College in New Rochelle, . New York. She has taught in the Fox River Grove school, and she and her husband are living in De¬ Kalb.

Installation
Intsalation I the Juniors of Hunt¬ ley Unit American Legion Atixili¬ ary will be held Sunday afternoon September 10th at 3 pjn. at liie Legion Home. Mrs. Stanley Koc^, Past President of the Huntley Unit will install her daughter. Linda, and her corps of officers. Jr. Chair¬ man Linda, will then introduce the Junior Chairman for the year and tell some of the things she hopes will be achieved during tlie year. Refreshments wil be served by the Auxiliary at the close of the meet¬ ing.
A cordial invition is extended to all relatives of these Juniors, all Unil members and all interested friends to attend this installation.
Police Report Music Boosters
Meeting Monday
Jack B. Offenheiser, 20, was n- \olved in an accident on Sunday', Vi mile north of Huntley on Vine Street, according to a report of the McHenry County Sheriff's office.
According to the report, Offen¬ heiser stated he was going north on Vi.ne Street when the right rear wheel come off the car, caus¬ ing him to lose control of the veh¬ icle, skidding across a drive and going under the front bumper of a truck parked on Vine Street.
No injuries were reported and no tickets issued.

The Huntley School Music Boos¬ ters E.xecutive Board met recently to prepare a slate of new officers t.T be presented to the members for vote at the first general meetii^ sceduled for Monday, September 11. at 7 30 P.M. in the cafeteria.

Annual Meeting
The "Evergreens" Restaurant in Dundee will be the scene on Sept¬ ember 20 for the McHenry Co. Homemakers Annual meeting: and luncheon.
Mrs. Sari Kays.ser, with her truly creative 45 minutes program, will be tho highlight of the day. She is a busy young mother of three, is a model, does some free lanc<^ writing anr lecturing. Huntley residents will have an opportunity to easily put ZIP into their mail in late Septenaber, Port- master MlchelsOT reported today.
During the last half of Septem¬ ber, the poet office wiU deliver to every householder a kit of eif^t postal cards which can be mailed back to he post office wit*>, address- needing ZIP Codies. Each ootnplct- ed card will be sent to the poBt office which services the "zipless" address and the pn^^er code will be added before the form is retum- . ed to the sendwr. / No postage vdll be needed on these cards.
Each of the eight instal cards in the kit will contain a message encouraging the general use ot ZIP Code. There will he a ninth card of instruction. A 11 will be folded like a closed accordlan.
