Ray Kelley Retires from Law
Riiymond J. Kelley. attorney, ad¬ vises he has retired from the pract¬ ice of law. For the past 22 years Mr. Kelley has maintained his law office at 7 South Woodstock Street. Huntley.
"My future plans are indefinite." said Mr. Kelly. "Presently 1 am teaching at a parochial school at Spring Grove, and may do so for a year or two before retiring com¬ pletely. I taught several years ago before I became a lawyer, and I always frund teaching to be re¬ warding and enjoyable. My sister, w4io reside"! in Flordia, wants me to retire there but having lived at Huntlej for over 60 years it is difficult for me to make a decis¬ ion."
Mr. Kelley further advised that he has leased his law office to Att¬ orney James B. Elliott.
"Mr. Elliott is in no way assoc¬ iated with my law practice or any of my other business activities," advised Mr. Kelley. "I will con¬ tinue handling my pending matters to a conclusion, but I definately am taking on no new business. Mr. Elliott iesstablishing his own law practice.
Mr. Elliott presently reddes with his wife and two children in Wayne Illinois, but hot>es to became a rtsldent of tbe Huntley area in the near future. A native of Indiana, he received his BA degree at Val¬ paraiso Unlvershy, Valparaiso, Ind¬ iana; MA degree from Indiana State University, Terre Haute, Ind- CooMnued on page 2

Two long-time members of the board are also concluding many years of service to agriculture. They are Jim Curran, Nunda township director from McHenry, who has served for 20 years, and Elmer Ackman. Algonquin town¬ ship, who also has been on the board for 20 years. Mr. Ackman has sold his farm and is moving to another township.

Huge buldozers of the K.P. Bak¬ ley Consfauction Co. ripped apart the converted building which hous¬ ed the D-X Gas Station on the comer of Main and Hoate 47.
This station was started in 1939 by Hiowanl Reeves who operated the business until 1944. it was

Richmond broke in the scoring cohunn first an a loi^ scoring pass to halfback Jim Gray. The attempt at the extra point was unsuccessful and the score stood Rkhmond 8. Huntley 0. Thr second quarter was a clos'^ -'cf'msive battle as neither team was aWe to put a tally on the scoreboard. Both teams exchanged the beW back and forth seve-il times, as neitlier offense was able to gain much ground. No scoring was accomplished and the score at Hie half stood Rtehmond 6. Hunt ley 0.
