Heeting called to order hP -esi- dent Wm. Bein.
Members present Koppen, Sher¬ win, Johnaon, Botterman, Schultz, Miller, Finzel, Tinberg and Man¬ ning^. Also attending: board mem¬ ber Adams and Vo.-Ag instructors Nolte A Rogers.
Motion by Miller to approve minnutea as written, seconded by Tinberg. ^Motion carried.
Treasurer's report given by Kop¬ pen — $20.17 balance in checking account and $1432.01 in savings account. Motion by Johnson to ac¬ cept treasurer's report, seconded by Botterman. Motion carried.
Short discussion on Budget pro¬ posed at previous meeting. Decided to leave as submitted, and set aside $60.00 for purchase of safety glasses. No doubt they will be re¬ quired in the future.
Plans for the Ag Council picnic to be held Sunday, July 25th at Rutland Park ^ere discussed. Mr. Rogers to contact Vemon Heine regarding pop and whether he would be able to handle that detil again this year. Each family to bring a meat dish, a dish topass, and their own table service. Com¬ mittee recommended twenty cases of pop, 12 dozen ice cream cups and 6 dozen carton of milk be secured.

Teener League Tournatnent
The Teener League Tournament was played in Hampshire on Aug. 7. Huntley played Hampshire in the second game of the tourna¬ ment and won this game by a score of 7-8. Steve Goehl was the winning pitcher. Steve Stojan was the losing pitcher. Goehl struck out 11, walked 11, and gave up 2 Wta. Stojan struck out 5, walked 9, and gave up B hits. Huntley will play Maple Park for first place on Snnday, Aug. 16 at 8:00. Ham¬ pshire and Burlington will play at 1:00 for third and fourth place.
Village Boari Meeting
The regular meeting of the Vil¬ lage Board was held last Thurs¬ day, August 5, at the Huntley Village Hall. All members were present with the exception of Don¬ ald Enstrom and Ernest Fitzi.
A report was presented by Ken¬ neth Bakley of the Bakley Con¬ struction Co. stated that the water and sewer lines in the Bakley 4th addition had been completed and that it was ready for final inspec¬ tion. Mr. Bakley went on to say that he will now commence work on the sewers and gutters in this new addition.
An extension of the water main on Dean Street going south toward the cemetery has been completed by the Bakley Contruction Co.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved, the treasurer's report given and bills ordered paid. This was a rather short meeting.
Kane County Fair Winner
Margaret Hoffman, daughter of Mr and Mrs Kenneth Hoffman a member of the Rutland Rockets 4-H Club, was the proud owner of the Grand Champion Aged Cow, a purebred Holstein, in 4-H competi¬ tion at the Kat^ County Fair last week. Margaret's animal was Grand Champion of the Holstein breed and also of all breeds in 4-H events. Margaret also won the milkmaids milking contest for girls aged 15-19, and will repre¬ sent Kane County in the Dairy Judging contest at the Illinois State Fair ini Springfield next week.
The Rutland ockets 4-H Club will hold a family night picnic and pot luck supper in the Rutland Forest Preserve (across from the utland Town Hall) tonight, Thurs¬ day, August 12, ai 7:00 p.m. Mem¬ bers of the club, their families and friends are invited.
