Regular School Board Meeting
l^e reqular meeting of the Huat¬ ley Consolidated Scliool Board was held on Wednesday, September 11, ¦with all members present excpt Dr. Grau.
A motion was made by Mrs. Thrun, seconded by Mr. Jirilt to accept the minutees of the pre¬ vious meeting as read; the motion carried, 6 yes.
A motion was made liy Mr. Bein seconded by Miss Mackeben to pay the regular bills. TItis was ap}>ro- ved, 6 yes.
A motion was made by Mr. Bein seconded by Mr. Jirilt to approve the appointment of Mr. Robert Peterson to become a substitute bus driver and to pay the expenses of Dennis Kwain to l)ecome quali¬ fied as a bus driver; this motion carried 6 yes. It was reported that after Mr. Kwain is qualified to 1>e a bus driver he will only drive his own class on field trips. It was stated that t^is will maice sure that a teacher will not have to be talcen from a class to drive a bus for the agricidture or any other class. The school now has 3 substitute bus drivers in addition to Mr. Kwain.

Tlie board is also considering a territorial committee to loolc into the possibility of taldng in additional land on the fringe areas of the district Huntley's tax rate is lower than thi.se of otlier districts which surround it and it should be ad¬ vantageous to property owners to petition into the Huntley scbool district.
Bids on the proposed bus garage were opened and read from flve concerns as follows: F S, Inc. sub¬ mitted a bid of $19,492.42; Fralco Construction bid fl9,960; Bryant Builders $20,648.66; Boy Krohmer bid $20,900; and Morton Building $22,000. The building committee is investigating the woric done by these various builders. They will report on their findings at the Coattaned mi page Z
Police Report
Dennis Ball, 18, oflS So. Wood¬ stock St., was not injured in an ac¬ cident which occured at 4 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 15, on the Huntiey- Harmony blacktop, ^3out one mile west of town .
He stated to McHenry County ^leriffs police that tie was east- bound on the blacktop road, when another car westbound in his lane of traffic, forced hkn to take the ditch.
Evidence at tlie scene showed that the car travelled about 60 feet off the road before striking a pole. There were no injurlee.
Scouts Plan Paper Drive
The Buntley Boy Scouts will hold a paper drive on Sator^, October 12.

Wm Borchart Memorial Flag Pole Dedicated

Larry Rasmussen, representing the dass <rf 1966, presented the memoricri of a flag, flagpole and marker. Accepting the memorial for the Board of Education was Si^i^ntenden tMarks.
Rev. F. Harm delivered tlie ded¬ ication speech. Bill's pastor chose "Three Vs" as his theme. The "Three F's" r«««sented the Flag, Field and Friends, all of which play¬ ed an important role in Bill's life.
FeUowing the dedicatioa, the family of William Borchart was in¬ troduced by Rev. Harm. The family attending the dedication were the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wilmer Bor¬ chart, brother, Wwrant Officer Rob¬ ert Ccmnors and wife, Carole, sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. TluMnas Harmon, and brother Barry Bor- cbarx, a current meml)er of the 1968 football team.
TTie ceremony was concluded by the raising of the flag to full staff by classmate. Larry Rasmussen, while the Huntley High School band, under the direction <rf lU^rt Tirk, played the National Anthem.
As the band, which had assembled at the flag pole i^yed die National Aatkem ,the y^te ««er*lB{aeitaut. The only light remaining was that of a spot light which was on the flag.
The Memorial Ceremony was planned by Athletic Director Glen Delaney.

As we dedicate this memorial this evening there are three thoughts to which I would like to call your attention.
It seems to me to be quite signi¬ ficant that there are three "F's" in¬ volved in this gift of the class of 1966. Let me mention them briefly.
First of all there Is a Flag, a Flag to be raised on the memorial staff. A flag is much more than just a piece of cloth. Our flag sym- olizes for us all the Ijeauty and charm and high ideals of our na¬

Huntley Takes Richmond 26 - 25
by Bob Wicke. Last Friday night Hantley crown¬ ed the Rockets of Richmond in a very tight game by the score of 26 to 36. The Huntley Lions Clvb met Tnesday night at 7:30 P.M. Presi¬ dent Cfaarles Lamb presiding. The meeting was hig^ lighted by the iniation of two new memben namely Lion Herb Egtgers and Lion Chuck Ehle. Lion Dick Kir- choff of Dundee was installing offi¬ cer.
