Cadet Band Rehearses For Parade Memorial I>ay Final School Miss Hundey
This sceen of Huntley's Cadet band marching on the village str¬ eets, is only one of many that have been familiar in recent weeks. Since May 1, the groups which malte up the two Huntley school bands have been practising their marching routine in preparation for Memorial Day activities.
In the Cadet band (grade school students) there are 57 playing meml)ers, 3 equipment movers, 2 drum majors, and 3 members of the color squad. They have been marching two days each week for approximately 50 minutes each practice period.
This group, as well as the high school band, will participate in Memoriol Day activities ' in both
Huntley and Union. On Saturday, June 1, they will go to Harvard for the annual Milk Day parade and festivities.
Instructor Perley reports that the group will present 3 musical numbers while marching and are preparing 3 formation maneuvers which will also be a part of tbe niarchlng program.
Mr. Perley also stated there will be some summer activity of the bands which he will make further announcements of in the future.
As the school year is rapidly coming to a close I would like to submit the following informati<Mi regarding the close of the school year activities at Huntley Con- soldiated School.
