John McClintock Resigns From School Board
Mr. John McClintock of Hunt¬ ley turned in his resignation to the Huntley Consolidated Schools as president of the board of educa¬ tion for the Huntloy Consolidated Schools at a meeting last Thurs¬ day night December 14. The rea¬ son for Mr McClintock's resigna¬ tion is that his company is mov¬ ing from Carpentorsvillo to Or¬ lando, Ohio.
Mr. McClintock has been a mom¬ ber of the board for the past 10 years and has served as president during those 10 years. He has worked on many projects for the school. One of the major ones was the construction of the pre.s¬ ent school on Lincoln Street
Mr. Bud Weber was elected by the board to fill his vacancy as president. Mr. Weber has been a member of the board for approxi¬ mately six years.
Ward Piano was appointed to fill the vacancy on the board created by Mr McClintock's re¬ signation Mr. Plane also served on the board in previous years. The appointment will alst until tho spring election, and at that time his name will appear on the ballot with other candidates seek¬ ing office on the school board.
Adult Farmer Courses
The Huntley Consolidated School through tho efforts of the Com¬ mittee for Agricultural Education, is pleased to extend an invitation to you to attend the adult farmer courses at Huntley High School. Tho committee has planned and rooommcndod to the board of edu¬ cation two courses this year

Data On Tollway
Some time ago Mr. Harley Mackeben, chairman of the Mc¬ Henry County Board of Supervi¬ sors, and other candidates of the county met with the people of Huntloy to discuss the opening of a tollway entrance and exit on Route 47 At that time they cir¬ culated petitions through Huntley and other towns in the area.
At the present time, aprpoxi- ma*ely 4,000 names have been turned in. At the present time, there are still some petitions which have not been turned in to Heine¬ mann Hardware Mr. Mackeben urges that the other petitions be turned in as soon as possible so that ho and his committee may ap- [iroach tho tollway commission.
At tho present time, some of the members of tho tollway commis¬ sion are not available Mr. Macke¬ ben plans to approach them after tho first of tho year.
Those who have not signed a petition as of yet may do so by seeing Mayor Brill at Heinomann Hardware store.
Library Books Purchased
The final disbursement of the money in the Library Fund of the Huntley Centennial Corp)ora- tion was made recently when Miss Hannah Martin and Ida Macke ben of the Centennial Library Committee accompanied by Miriam Kaufman of our English depart¬ ment purchased the following books nad presented them to our school library: Gutzum Borglum, the Story of Mt. Rushmore; Stev¬ enson's Bookof Poetry; Steven¬ son's 2 volumes of Homo Quota¬ tions; U. S. Tour of America; Journey Thru the Orient; Look at America; The World in Pic-
